DILWALE’s will win your heart 🙂

Dilwale is best directorial venture of Rohit Shetty till date. The
screenplay is the main key. Expected the unexpected from Dilwale! We
thought it’s a action oriented film. But it’s full of comedy and action
drama. Johnny and Varun Sharma, Sanjay Mishra are the surprise package!
Mark our words, you’ll be blown with the twists and turns in Dilwale.
The scene before Interval is a nail biter, SRK & Kajol’s sad song
‪‎Daayre‬ is a hidden gem it’ll make you feel sad . Best after Gerua!
Dilwale is 60% comedy 20% action 20% Drama. Comedy part is freaking
good. No vulgarity! No skin show, but this is Bonanza..For Christmas,
This will surely bring family audience as for as overseas concerns.
Overall we have liked it. Perfect film to watch with full family. They
haven’t even shown 5% of the story line in trailer. BLOCKBUSTER HIT.
    Dilwale is Surprise package.

    Awesome film

Amidst the hell like confusing dilemma over two choices ”Dilwale” and
    ”Bajirao Mastani ” , I opted out for Dilwale expecting a rom-com-
    action thriller.

Though , story barely has anything new in it , some action sequences
are surely new and fresh for eyes. The twists and turns ,The comic
punches (Thanks to Sajid-Farhad) , The star cast (First time Shahrukh ,
Varun and Kriti coming together ) , and of course the Locations –
everything is out of the world. The story though not kind of new but it
is highly engaging & it is the main key of DILWALE.

The action sequences , The Cinematography , The Performances , The
Music , The magic of adorable pair SRK – KAJOL , The Dialogues , The
Comedy , and The fascinating locations – ALL ARE TERRIFIC !

Dilwale is full on family entertainer . It is not merely a good film
but it also has tremendous repeat value. Especially SRK fans will visit
the theaters at least 3 times . Dilwale has all the ingredients that
one masala film should have . It would not be an overstatement to say
that – Had the clash been avoided , Dilwale would have broken and
surpassed even P.K’s record within 10 days . In movies like Dilwale you
don’t need to apply logic but watch it with your heart only.

On the whole , Dilwale is a sure shot Winner and a Block Buster . It
will set many records. Now take your family and rush to meet these
Dilwale. You will not at all feel disappointed but will be happy that
you have utilized money in a great film.

Compared to Dilwale, BAJIRAO MASTANI is a crap! I got bored while
watching it. If I have 2 free tickets of any movie, I will watch
Dilwale twice but not Bajirao Mastani.

    Highly recommended !

Watch Dilwale as it is Rohit Shetty’s most complete and entertaining film

Though I was not expecting too much from this Rohit Shetty directorial
as I’m aware of Rohit’s taste , but I ended up in a situation and mood
like – ”Expect the Unexpected”. Take it in a positive whim . So let’s
see how Dilwale actually is !

After their last outing in Chennai Express, I kind of had an inkling of
what Rohit Shetty and Shah Rukh Khan were going to offer in Dilwale.
Just another typical run-of-the mill entertainer. While Chennai Express
didn’t leave me disappointed, it didn’t leave me in awe either. But
Dilwale still does manage to look a lot more appealing from the promos,
songs and the trailer. And two and a half hours later, I came out
completely satisfied. Each Penny was well spent!

Performances make the film imminently watchable. SRK, as Raj, does what
he does best — romances his leading lady with ease, beats the hell
out of his rivals while playing the ideal brother to Varun. Of course,
how can there be another Dilwale sans the leading lady of the original?
Kajol, as effortlessly spontaneous as ever, has a relatively shorter
role than what you would have expected. Varun Dhawan’s comic timing
will make you sit back and take note. Kriti Sanon does a reasonably
good job of her role. The other members of the cast are all armed with
funny scenes and dialogues. One of the best things about the film is
that all the other characters are fleshed out to keep the comic element
up. It may sound a little audacious but Rohit Shetty’s favourite Sanjay
Mishra, who plays a buyer of stolen goods, is even funnier than the
amazing Johnny Lever. The comedy element in the film is its strength.
With top notch performances from the likes of Varun Sharma, Boman
Irani, Sanjay Mishra and Johnny Lever, you will definitely laugh out
loud every time they are on screen. A special applause has to be
reserved for them, as they lift up he film, the moment you feel it
    might lag.

The direction by Shetty is awesome, to put it simply. His vision and
the scale of the film is insurmountable by any other entertainer in
this genre. There are no compromises on budgets and it reflects on the
    film.

The music does justice to the ethos of the film. The songs are
well-paced, except for Daayre, and contribute to strengthening the
romantic quotient of the film. The background music is haunting and
somehow reminded me of the Om Shanti Om theme. The soulful music is
complemented by the breathtaking locales. The film is (obviously) set
in Goa, Rohit Shetty’s favourite destination, and Bulgaria. The latter,
alongwith Iceland where the song Gerua is shot, gives you some
awe-inspiring visuals on the big screen.

Moments make for great memories in a Rohit Shetty film, and so some
scenes deserve a special mention. The five-minute speed dating between
Shah Rukh and Kajol is interesting, while the one where Mukesh Rishi
and Pankaj Tripathy narrate the Shah Rukh-Kajol back story is deeply
    engaging.

All in all, Dilwale was a great joyride with plenty to watch out for.
Superb music. Stunning action. Unbelievable landscapes. Energetic youth
in the form of Varun-Kriti. And of course, the enigmatic SRK-Kajol!
Each of these elements can make you want to watch the film by
themselves. And when put together, Dilwale is the great entertaining
result! The film ends on a high note with Tukur Tukur, a song that you
will keep singing to yourself long after the film is done. Watch it, as
by Rohit Shetty’s standards, it’s his most complete and entertaining
    film!

    Fantastic

The movie is excellent… All the actors are looking good in the movie.
Rohit she-tty direction is not much different from old movies. Most of
all Kajol and SrK are together after 5 years. They are looking more
prettier and energetic in all the movies before. Varun and kriti sanon
also contribute their best in the movie, which make film more powerful.
So in short movie will be super-hit for Srk. The movie is excellent…

I loved ”Inception” but I hate ”Dilwale”

To tell you the truth I’ve been waiting for the new Star Wars movie for
a very long time. But it got pushed one week back due to this movie.
Anyways, my exams got over on 17th and I needed to relax so I went to
see Dilwale and that was one of the worst decisions I’ve ever taken. It
was just the exact opposite of ”relaxing”. The plot was goofy,
dialogues were goofy and on top of it all there was SRK, whose
performance is getting worse with every passing second. The movie had
nothing engaging. I’ve never left a movie halfway, so I decided to go
through three hours of hell because I didn’t want to ruin my record.
Believe me that was a very brave thing to do. However unsurprisingly
there were many SRK-fans who did enjoy the movie. So to put it in a
nutshell, if you are an SRK fan then you are stupid enough to love this
movie. For neutral moviegoers, don’t even consider going for this
    mindless movie.

    Not good as expected

Its So So you can not expect this from shahrukh’s movie. should be
    still more good and better.

Dialogues are good but kriti is flat in delivery One has to leave his
brain outside the theatre to watch it. Nothing conceptual.

Big drawback is we can predict next scenes and twist easily Bollywood
biggie which is filmy not realistic.

If you are fan watch one time else no.

Rohit Shetty tries his hand at a family dramedy which is neither funny
    nor serious.

Poor comedy!! Water thin story line

    Awesome Movie- Shahrukh Rockss

Watched Dilwale first day first show-First of all I would like to
congratulate Rohit shetty for outdoing Himself in Dilwale. His best
direction till date. First Half of Dilwale has a nice pace with rib
tickling comedy sequences. Shahrukh’s Entry scene with Johnny lever is
outstanding. The story line took pace just before interval with lots of
twist n turns.Second half is equally good.Acting of Shahrukh, kajol,
Varun & Kriti is mind blowing. Last 20 mins of the film is designed for
Hard-core family audience and they are going to love it. Varun Sharma,
Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari, Pankaj Tripathi and last but not least
Johnny Lever did an awesome job. Overall Dilwale is thrice better than
Chennai Express. Good family drama with loads of comedy action & drama.
    Must Watch. ATBB

    waste of money

All other reviews are fake. I would suggest that you should not even
care to watch this flick. Shahrukh should take the advise to behave his
age. There is no doubt that Shah Rukh Khan didn’t miss a single
marketing trick to promote Dilwaale. But anyway, as SRK chose to inform
the public recently, he doesn’t read reviews (unless they are funny, he
said – but maybe he doesn’t quite understand or tries hard not to
understand satire), so good for him! Over the years, SRK has been
relegated slowly, transmogrified into a director’s actor, a puppet like
creature that earned the big bucks not because of his own abilities,
but because of the money lavished on the film, the scale and special
effects of the film, the fabulous song and dance numbers. It didn’t
matter how bad the film was.For SRK, this may be an acknowledgment also
of his growing limitations as an actor, even though he seems to defy
age with his growing abs and packs. But SRK has not done any meaningful
roles like Chak De! India, Swades, Hey Ram or My Name is Khan for a
    long time.

    Is this a Movie????

OMG i like rohit shetty movies.. albeit you don’t need logic to see his
movies.. however this one is a disaster.. how can SRK do such DDLJ/
KKHH level acting or repeat the same mannerism and dialogues.. god i
beg all the sane people to either watch Chennai express once again
rather than to sit through this mockery of SRK.

guys save your time and money… bcos both once spent will never comes
    back..

I give it 1 star just because of KAJOL.. she is simply mind blowing..
even looks much younger and fitter than DDLJ and KKHH days..

Boman irani is wasted.. what is varun dhawan doing here.

all in all Rohit shetty wanted to do a romance movie … err a comedy
movie… err he does not know what he wanted to do…

All in one entertainment package. Rohit Shetty’s best by far.

Amazing comedy with somewhat original script including decent action.
Movie wont be boring unless you really like art films. Complete
entertainment package for a clichéd Hindi movie with amazing songs and
shooting locations. Action was practical compared other rohit shetty
movies. But foremost, comedy was amazing with a surprising climax.
Simple loving and enjoyable film unless you really are a SRK hater or
critic film supporter. This movie is best watched alongside family and
worth watching. Casting was great, Shah and Kajol are professionals and
Varun and Kriti stole the show. Comedy casting was same as All The Best
and as funny as it was. Final statement to be given after watching this
film is that it is 100 percent entertainment purpose only.

Even worse than Chennai Express and Happy New Year

I have no idea why this movie is getting higher ratings in here, must
be bots up-voting the horrible movie. The movie was a pain to watch,
with a handful of original comic moments. Shah Rukh Khan did a pretty
horrible job of acting. Its disappointing that another bad movie of
Shahrukh will do so well in the box office. Seriously, where are
Bollywood’s standards. I understand this is supposed to be a
comedy/drama movie, but come on. Oh well, its made by Rohit Shetty,
could not have expected anything better. The direction is horrible,
more of a Tamil/Tollywood movie than a Bollywood movie. Cars flying,
hero beating the crap out of 5-10 guys at once, I guess that turns on
    the audience.

    Mindblowing Entertainer

Dilwale movie has been showered with praises from people who are
watching the first day first show! While some are just simply going
gaga over this Shahrukh Khan starrer flick directed by Rohit Shetty,
there are quite a few people who feel Dilwale is not up-to
expectations. Dilwale is a light-hearted entertaining film that has
action, romance and comedy! The film features Shahrukh Khan, Kajol,
Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon in lead roles while actors Boman Irani, Varun
Sharma, Kabir Bedi, Vinod Khanna, Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari, Johny
Lever and Murli Sharma are seen playing pivotal roles!

From the looks of Shahrukh Khan-Kajol’s sizzling chemistry from the
movie, it is quite clear that Dilwale not only has the typical romance,
action and comedy but it has also has an intense, eternal love story
that takes place between Raj (Shahrukh Khan) and Meera (Kajol). The
movie has released in foreign countries and the audiences who have
viewed the film feel that Dilwale has a predictable story but Rohit
manages to keep them hooked with surprising elements. As predicted,
Shahrukh Khan and Kajol’s intense chemistry is said to be the unique
selling point of the movie! Rohits direction, Pritams music, Dudley’s
cinematography and death defying action stunts have all been super
praised by the viewers. The comedy scenes make you laugh and the
picturesque locations are a visual treat to your eyes. All in all,
Dilwale has some really great aspects as expected and will give Bajirao
Mastani a tough fight at the Box Office.

Go and watch it, it’s a must for all families. A perfect Christmas
Celebration. You can fall in love with SRK all over again and remind
James bond that someone can be better than him. OR you can fall in love
With the love of SRK-Kajol chemistry and the pair makes the strongest
Possible comeback. I cannot say how many time will i watch this movie.
But it’s a movie to be preserved in collections once the DVD is out and
To go and watch again and again in cinema halls its celebration
redefined. The second lead pair Varun Dhavan and Kriti Sanon uses the
opportunity to the maximum and this will be a landmark film in their
careers. After all when the king is on your side you cannot go wrong.

    Entertainment

Dilwale is all about entertainment as it promised before release. Just
loved every bit of it. SRK-Kajol just unbeatable as always. SRK-Kajol
chemistry in a different avatar.I guess they have not done any movie
like this before, Kajol is a great actress and her command on
delivering dialog is just awesome. Shah Rukh Khan in actions scenes
really excels and he is just awesome with Kajol. Varun and Kriti is a
fresh new pair. They complement each other really well. Special mention
to Varun Sharma, he is really good in comedy, previously I liked him in
Fukrey and here he also shines in his own way. The songs in big screen
appeared as a treat to eye! The comedy, action, romance and family
drama all in one place. In one sentence Dilwale is the full on
    entertainer in this festive season.

  • Vishal RajDecember 17, 2015Reply

Dilwale is a perfect combination of romance, comedy, action, drama. & entertainment.

After the super success of their last collaboration Chennai Express, I
had too much expectations from Rohit Shetty and Shah Rukh Khan. While
Chennai Express was only about comedy, action & bit romance. Dilwale
looks a lot more appealing than Chennai Exp & has much more to offer
    than what CE had.

The film looks interesting right from the start. 1st half starts from
the flashback with typical Bollywood style, Family problems in between
two lovers. SRK is charismatic as always & Kajol looks amazingly
gorgeous even after so many years. Film continues with proper mixing of
comedy, romance, drama & action. Film’s action is quite world class,
way ahead of Bollywood’s level. Songs especially Gerua and Janam Janam
are magnificently picturised & looks damn amazing on big screen.

2nd part of the movie starts with the cool love story of Varun Dhawan
and the very beautiful Kriti Sanon. Their energy level is something to
look for & they don’t spoil the love essence of SRK-Kajol romance
created in the 1st half of the film. Film’s huge budget makes it even
more watchable. From lavish cars to Bulgaria locations. Everything
looks so grand & eye catching.

Talking about the comedy element in the film, Varun Sharma, Boman
Irani, Sanjay Mishra and Johnny Lever make you laugh loud. Rohit Shetty
has perfectly mixed up their comedy scenes in between to keep the movie
    going in an entertaining flow.

Overall, Dilwale is a great joyride with plenty to watch out for
everyone. Beautiful music. Amazing action. Unbelievable landscapes,
Energetic Varun-Kriti. And of course, the evergreen SRK-Kajol. Each of
these elements make you keep watching the film. And when put together,
Dilwale is the great entertaining result. From romance to comedy to
action to drama, Dilwale has got EVERYTHING. A perfect entertainer for
    your Christmas 🙂

This is probably the best work of Rohit Shetty so far. I had gone to

such a brilliant story presented in a very beautiful way. The twists in
the movie and the jokes were too good. I had only gone to see the SRK-

was good to see the supporting actors doing well too. You’ll see Johnny
Lever at his very best. The Varun-Kriti pair looked beautiful too. The

Blockbuster, Amazing. Watch SRK and Kajol at their Best.

At first i thought this would be a normal Romcom Action movie. The
Trailer was okay, Music was great and it has the appeal to attract
youths but due to Rohit Shetty’s directorial venture one could think of
a Movie with Average plot. But i was shocked after watching Dilwale,
the Story is good (not boring), screenplay is amazing and the actress
did a fairly good job. The real surprise is the plot twist which
happened in the second half of the Movie. Can’t tell really because for
that you must go and watch it in theaters. Talking about the Acting,
SRK is the real king of bollywood and he proved this once again. He was
in a Bold and Serious avatar, grumpy sometimes but we did an amazing
job. His counterpart Kajol was good too if not that great, one may miss
the DDLJ spark in the Movie but this happens quite a long when you
return in the Bollywood after a long time. Varun Dhawan was average, he
tried to be witty and comic but failed. His dance moves in the Movie
isn’t that great, but his bromance with SRK was good and one can feel
it. Overall average by Varun. Kriti shanon was the waste. He cant act
or dance. She did quite well in her last Movie Heropanti but this was
her worst performance. All the other comic actors very good and some
great jokes very there in the first half. Overall a very entertaining
movie. Action/Car stunts are like never seen before in Bollywood, some
of the scene were copied from Movies like Mission Impossible. Other
than the action scenes will give you the feel of Hollywood. Overall a
complete entertainment package, Varun and Kriti shanon will put you
down but the plot and the beautiful direction of Rohit Shetty will
bring you the smile, pain, thriller and fun. SRK was great, his best
    role in last 5 years.

    FINAL- MUST WATCH !!!

Dilwale is a sure shot winner

When you come out watching a movie, and proceed immediately to ticket
window and book your tickets for next show, DILWALE is of that kind, in
    league of its own.

Rohit Shetty’s funda is simple: Entertain the spectator with
larger-than-life heroism, amusing episodes, high-pitched drama,
    clap-trap and fiery dialogue, foot-tapping music, gravity-defying
action, mass appealing humor… and of course, blow up as many cars as
possible in trademark Rohit Shetty style, DILWALE has all of that and
much, much more but this time he went ahead a step in entertaining us.

The best part of Dilwale is that role of every actor is very well
sorted and everyone has equal importance.

Dilwale works, primarily thanks to the entertainment quotient and of
course, the persuasive portrayals by its lead actors, especially SRK
and Kajol. SRK is super-efficient and brings back the charm on screen.
he has done some really cool stuff. At the same time,SRK allows VARUN
to take the lead and he has does complete justice to those parts .
Kriti looks gorgeous and did very well, even there 12-13 actors she made
her presence felt. VARUN-KRITI look adorable together, would love to
see them together in near future. unexpectedly, comic timing of Varun
    Sharma and Sanjay are unimpeachable.

KAJOL truly stands out, with SRK she just look perfect. after so long
we get to see her on screen, that was so refreshing.she has done perfect
justice to it. I think no one could have pulled off MEERA as she did.
BOTH SRK -KAJOL has many shades and both were just perfect.

Perfect combination of drama, love & action in Dilwale style. The best
Rohit Shetty movie. special mention to exotic locations and production
design. content is very appealing, movie is very entertaining
throughout and emotional towards ending.expect Hurricane at the BO, Sky

FINAL WORD- brilliant, total Paisa Wasool, lets fall in love again.

    perfect

i was not expecting this movie to be good at all since i am not a fan
of commercial movies but i got astonished by the scale of this movie i
think its bollywood best .. srk and kajol are brilliant . first half is
very funny and you will see srk in different zone all together Shah
Rukh Khan is the soul of this movie, its biggest strength, and he
brings alive her character with not just those smart lines, but with
the kind of senior actors seldom invest in his acting. We can’t think
of a greater compliment to pay him than to say with full confidence
that no man could play Raj role better than Shah Rukh KhanThe movie
script is totally unique. In every single action there is a constant
motion, and all cuts are perfect and the camera stays on the actor’s
faces more close-up than usual. I don’t want to tell the story which is
the main hero of the film u will be amazed .comedy is very catch and
sound . music gives the feel like u inaction mode..so i will highly
recommend this movie .go and watch with your family .you will be highly
    amazed….

Rohit Shetty never ceases to disappoint with his mediocrity nor does Shahrukh Khan

I’m keeping an open mind to miracles, that is if this movie could still
turn out to be good, despite the below average promos. But I was wrong.
The movie is so bad, and we are all to blame for blindly following the
star cast. Rohit Shetty did not disappoint with his Shitty Direction
but i did not expect anything more from him. If you think Happy New
year was a bad movie from this director? You’re in for a treat, and
it’s not a treat you’d like. Moreover the script was probably given to
some high school kid for his homework assignment. The color grading of
the movie looks like an Overblown Android screen, watch Gerua for
instance. I think I lost a bit of IQ today after watching this piece of
    crap.

    Must Watch this movie

With awesome storyline this movie is just epic, its like the love story
    which doesn’t gonna ends.

Starting with future scenes and in some time emotional past scenes give
    special impact to the story.

Music is brilliant, no any doubt about that. . . Acting of SRK, Varun
and kriti was just at there best but kajol looks only good, because of
Lefting to movie after comeback to 5 years. . . And the all the way
This is just a classy looks of SRK and Kajol.

This movie is all about The special Jodi of SRK and kajol 😄

. I’m Damn Sure, if you are neutral, then sure, you will like this
    movie 🙂

  • prafullakhDecember 18, 2015Reply

    Why am i even surprised?

If there is a Viagra for acting, SRK sure needs a dosage; i wonder when
was the last time he delivered a descent dialogue lasting more than
five to ten seconds without the usual melodrama.

I am so done with story lines about premature deaths leading to
financial challenges and heading back to the ex stories. You start
wondering if there was even any descent plot in the first place when
    they started auditioning for this.

Besides, there are no good story tellers left in Bollywood and the
director proves the point amply. May be watch SNL re-runs or go fishing
this weekend than subjecting yourself to this.

Bad Story-line and avoidable at its best!

The movie is like a pendulum goes back and forth that too without any
    motion!!!!

Poor story-line and too much hype makes it a boring journey overall.
One can see this movie was made at an haste and was too eager to be
released. Hence, this hype was created and it failed miserably to ride
    the hype wave.

If anyone thinks this is anywhere close to DDLJ then they will be
fooling themselves! Rohit Shetty is best suited for Golmal and not any
    other type of movie.

Kajol is a sweetheart and SRK is at his disappointing best. Story-line
is so poor that you start getting bored from the beginning. It seems
like a typical Rohit Shetty movie where he tries yo mix-up the masala
from 70s, 80s, and 90s….and we all know what happens to such movies!

Anyways if you decide to watch this disappointing movie then please go
with an open mind and please please please please don’t expect any fire
    works!

Dilwale is avoidable at its best!

The film does not even seem to be properly structured. It failed to

choreographed but even that did not make it up for the bad screenplay.
Looks like rohit shetty tried to be different than his usual self but

Comedy and dialogues of Varun Sharma, Sanjay Mishra & Johnny Lever are
fantastic. You will literally enjoy their portion. Varun is also
amazing & justifies his character(INCEPTION wala comment hata ke…
:D). Kriti looks stunning in each and every scene.

Songs are good. Costumes are fantastic. Screenplay is also decent.

I really liked the bromance between SRK-Varun. Audience will also
    appreciate their role.

Really fantastic movie if you want to watch it on this weekend. It is a

    Rohit Shetty’s best

    Dilwale 8/10

It sucks when you have to wait for more than a year to watch SRK on the
big screen. Dilwale was worth the wait considering his last outing HNY
wasn’t that great. Dilwale is all about entertainment, right from gang
rivalries to high speed car chase sequences to some mind blowing fight
sequences to comedy. But in the heart of it is romance and that to of
the most loved on screen couple, SRK- KAJOL. This movie has all the
typical Rohit Shetty ingredients. Fancy cars, blowing up fancy cars,
amazing comedy and some more fancy cars 😀 The film has a more than
decent plot line and is simple. A scarred past of gang rivalries and
cut to present on how it affects the protagonists life. Add to that the
traditional old school ‘look me in the eyes’ romance of srk & kajol and
the more hip hop and present kind of romance between varun & kriti 💜
Btw all the four actors look amazing throughout the movie. Srk with his
suave moustache, Varun with his cute boy looks, Kriti does what she
does best that is being the prettiest girl on this planet. But the
surprise was Kajol, i cannot even begin to say how beautiful she looks
throughout the whole movie. Coming towards the movie, Rohit has a
decent twist up his sleeves and he puts it to the right use in the
story to give the movie a proper direction. Shooting locales are
exotic, songs are amazing and are already chart busters. Cinematography
is top notch, songs are beautifully shot. Comedy has always been one of
the strongest attributes of a Rohit Shetty film and he doesn’t
disappoint. Johnny Lever as money bhai, Sanjay Mishra as Oscar, Varun
Sharma as Sidhu and pankaj Tiwari as Anwar bhai tickle your funny bones
and make you laugh like crazy. Boman Irani was wasted as king and he
could have been put to a much better use. The 4 main characters do a
fantastic job in their respective domains and charm the audience. SRK’s
fight scenes will leave you in awe and the audience couldn’t help but
hoot and shout and clap in unison. The climax is all happy ending types
but it could have been much better according to me. It left me wanting
for something more out of the movie. At a 155 minutes, this movie never
really feels that long and time passes with ease. I would have loved to
see SRK & Kajol doing an out and out romantic movie because this movie
does not do much justice to their jodi as this movie has a lot of other
stuff to deal with. All in all this movie is a treat to watch and it
will be a fantastic watch with your friends & families and loved ones.

Leave The Critics They Are Payed !!!Dilwale Is A Must Watch

The songs are well-
paced, except for Daayre, and contribute to strengthening the romantic
quotient of the film. The background music is haunting and somehow
reminded me of the Om Shanti Om theme.

Watch it, as
by Rohit Shetty’s standards, it’s his most complete and the most
entertaining light comedy romantic movie.A Must Watch

    Dilwale a feel good movie

‪#‎Dilwale‬ – Rohit Shetty makes a blunder decision by getting out of
his own genre & by trying to make a sensible movie… Dilwale has a
story, has SRK-Kajol evergreen romance but Rohit Shetty is not Yash
Chopra,Adi Chopra or Karan Johar. so if you are expecting a DDLJ type
romance, you will be disappointed. 1st half was good. sometimes a bit
slow which is not expected from a Rohit Shetty movie.. SRK-Kajol
romantic scenes were too good smile emoticon there is twists in 1st
half & 2nd half but both were predictable. Action sequences are just
awesome, Mindblowing… comedy scenes were good but sometimes a bit
silly Songs as you know are already Chartbuster… SRK as always the
GOD. he was just superb in action scenes as well as in romantic scenes.
Kajol is good as always. Varun Dhawan acted good as the younger brother
of SRK.. Kriti Sanon had a little role, she was so so. as a whole
Dilwale is a feel good movie. you won’t be disappointed after watching
    this movie.

Worse movie of SRK after Guddu

Don’t waste money on this movie, it’s the worse movie of SRK after
Guddu, it’s a disaster. Looks like Rohit Shetty take it granted that
SRK-Kajol pair will do everything, and instead of looking in direction
he was sleeping in Vanity van.

    Varun Dhawan looked good.

    Kirti is also good.

Kajol is relief in the movie. Without her you can not tolerate the

    Real Heart Attack

It’s very surreal to see dons with gold-plated guns dancing in snow-
covered desert and chilling waterfalls. And who says only James Wan can
direct Furious 7? Our Shetty boy is equally good at drifting. Don’t
believe me? Watch Varun Dhawan’s drift in Dilwale. But here’s a
friendly advice: Don’t dare to catch the director’s drift.

Once you’re over with ”dil ka chilka” kind of songs and ”King ka aadmi
mujhe drugs bechne ko bolta hai” sort of dialogues, you’ll start
wondering about the film’s huge canvas and its lack of coherence.
Pankaj Tripathi and Mukesh Tiwari’s comic timing is a good thing about
Dilwale. In fact, Tiwari and Tripathi are instrumental in making the
audience sit through this 135-minute film.

Dilwale hugely banks upon Khan’s stardom and he tries his best to
reciprocate. The rest of Dilwale has a very little heart or should i
    say not heart at all.

well i saw so many paid pr review on this site.well i have suggestion
for them that if you are paid pr at least don’t give a ten star it
looks so obvious that you are paid.because this movie doesn’t deserve
    ten from any angle.

Dilwale …… mix of bad dialouges and bad acting

Why did Rohit Shetty did this ? In case of Chennai Express at least
there was story running along railway track but this is like Kumbh mela
!! Story is running in all directions.

Bad, very bad comedy !! You have to force yourself to laugh.

Director is trying hard to make humor but not getting succeed. Varu
Dhawan need to learn humor from Govinda or his father.

Dialogues are not hilarious but childish !!

SRK Kajol chemistry somehow don’t work here. May be they needed good
    script.

    Songs are OK. Digitally good.

Exotic lands and special effects can create momentary effect but can’t
    hold the movie.

    1/5 for movie.

  • vrush-69308December 18, 2015Reply

A typical Rohit Shetty flick. A masala movie, nothing new to offer.

When there’s Kajol and Shah Rukh in a movie together, naturally the
expectations are monumental! Everyone expects something epic, a romance
of a lifetime. But alas, the movie was cheesy, predictable and filled
with the typical Hindi movie punch lines and boring slapstick comedy.

The story and concept of the movie is nice, but the execution and
dialogues are no different from the ones we have heard many times
before. Frankly, I am a little disappointed in Shah Rukh for not
choosing to produce and act in a movie of a more superior kind,
considering he has enthralled audiences for 20+ years now, he should
deliver performances worthy of a veteran!

Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon are cute in the movie with their adorable
teenage style romance, but I would say that kajol is the scene stealer
here. She looks breathtakingly gorgeous and her eyes convey her
emotions. She is a fabulous and seasoned artist!

The songs are mediocre, Gerua is the only track that leaves a lasting
impression. The stunts and car sequences are interesting and of
international standard, it keeps the audiences hooked!

Overall, the movie was breezy and nice, but also not upto my
expectations personally, because at this stage in Shah Rukh’s career he
should be making meaningful movies rather than the same old masala
genre. Watch it if you like typical massy masala films like his
previous 2 outings, chennai express and happy new year. If you are
looking for something classy or different, Dilwale is not the film for
    you.

Even comedy is lost in quest of love

Dirctor Mr. Rohit Shetty has some unique sense of comedy so he can
easily make a dull scene interesting but when it comes to emotional
scenes he has lost his balance. There is nothing new in name of story.
Step brother, rival kids love angle then Ghar Jamai issue that’s all in
the name of freshness and emotions. Screenplay by Yunus Sajawal is OK
for comedy scenes but again very stale in love scenes like formula to
bring the parted love birds together, giving lift to needy girl, then
problem in scooty and lots of such type of stale scenes. Even film
starts with a very cheesy scene of a person covering up a person, who
has been caught stealing goods for sake of his brother. Dialogues by
Sajid-Farhad are good but it fail when comes to justify love scenes. So
many scenes are exaggerated, so though it was interesting but ends as
being irritating due to length. Like, Varun Dhawan and Varun Sharma
confront scene, Pankaj Tripathi and Mukesh Rishi telling past to Varun
Dhavan. A hard core international don’s son name is Kali!!! What for
it? Terror or comedy? Another character, King is there, he reveals
chilling fact that he had killed his father and then next moments
starts competing with comedian? Two international dons fires on each
other even being aware that both will get killed not by impulse but
after thinking for sometime!? Were they stupid? Characters are badly
conceived. Performance wise Jony Lever is just outstanding. He evokes
laughter even in old and stale scenes. All credit goes to his
expression and timing. Shahrukh Khan is good. Kajol is fine. Varun
Dhavan is justified. Varun Sharma is OK. Mukesh Rishi and Pankaj
Tripathi support very well. Kirti Sanon is average. Music wise Geruaa
is melodious and its visuals are just breath taking.

Just as I expected….same old clichéd film.

The movie is exactly what I thought it would be. Overrated because of
fans of the SRK-Kajol Jodi. I don’t understand why the audience of
Bollywood never appreciates good stories and great direction. Instead,
they go for movies that contain the same old overrated Bollywood actors
and actresses. A romantic song with a dance across the beautiful
landscapes around the world does not make for a beautiful movie.

Don’t even get me started on the overacting. I expected at least some
decent acting from the two experienced actors in this movie about whom
the fans were going crazy for the past few weeks. But no. Acting? What
is that? Let’s just dance around the world and add some stunts and
    we’ll earn 100+ crores.

I’m eagerly waiting for the day when SRK will go back to making movies
like Swades and Chak De India.

awesome. The movie has complete entertainment. The songs has awesome
timing with the story.. Arjit n Pritam has done a great work. Gerua and
Janam Janam are the best songs along with Manma Emotion Jage.. Kajol
was looking stunning.. and Kriti was so so cute.. A complete
    entertainment.

    Disappointing SRK movie

The worst SRK movie after RA One. I expected it to be somewhere near
DDLJ or Kuch kuch Hota Hai.

But disappointingly, it was far off from being a decent SRK movie.
Although the star cast of SRK & Kajol will make sure that the movie
will eventually make profits, but honestly, there was nothing in the
movie that was worth waiting for. The unnecessary car flying & bursting
scenes were quite irritating to me. The storyline was absurd & kinda
stupid. Parts of movie make me feel as if I was there was Golmaal 4.

Nothing worth mentioning happens in the first hour of the movie.A lot
of grown men share hugs and talk about how they love each other, all
moist- eyed and overwhelmed, but this is too generic to care about and,
disturbingly, too straight-faced to laugh at.

The movie overall is quite dull & dud.

ultimate package of comedy, action, suspense and romance

the movie starts with the intro of raj (SRK) and then for rest one must
watch it rest its really damn good chemistry between SRK and Kajol
SRK’s track with old flame Kajol , which is meant to be the film’s
mainstay, keeps coming and going. And the other bit parts come and go,
too, pretty much on a whim nd for old times sake and our love for SRK
and Kajol, they recreate magic this time on screen too. When SRK and
Kajol look into each other’s eyes, they can still make you feel it and
characters hilariously played by Sanjay Mishra and Joney Lever The
action comedy also stars Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan who plays
    Shahrukh’s younger brother.a must watch movie ……………..

Shahrukh is well past his prime.

Shahrukh is well past his prime. He should gracefully move to
supporting roles that Mr Bachchan moved to a decade and a half back.
Movie seems more like a 50 year old man’s quest to show and see himself
as young than anything else. Kajol and Khan have failed to create the
chemistry they created back in late 90s. Don’t waste your money/time

It has Blockbuster written all over it! A complete Family Entertainer.

Dilwale is an out and out family entertainer filled with Action,
Comedy, Drama and Romance. It is not a content driven movie so
obviously it is not high on content but it is indeed high on wholesome
    entertainment.

It’s a Laugh Riot! Johnny Lever, Varun Dhawan,Varun Sharma and Sanjay
Mishra all of them did a commendable job. Their Comic Timing was
impeccable. Especially Sanjay Mishra’s Clap worthy Dialogues and Johnny
Lever’s Hilarious Comic Scenes. Audience were clapping and laughing out
loud in almost every comedy scenes.

Well.. what can i say about SRK and Kajol most iconic on screen
couple.Their chemistry will surely mesmerize you. They have recreated
their on screen magic again It is one of the highlights of the movie.
SRK did a great job as innocent ”Raj” and a Charming,Bad Ass
”Kaali”.Awesome performance by the King. Kajol proved it that she is
still one of the best in the B-TOWN currently. Outstanding performance.
She nailed it! Dilwale is a fun joyride with some twists and turns. All
    Thanks to Rohit Shetty.

It’s a Must Watch Movie for SRK-Kajol fans and for some wholesome
    entertainment.

Go for Dilwale this Christmas. Dilwale will surely bring a smile on
    your face.

    absolute crap

Rohit Shetty and SRK – stop making such dumb movie. Rohit Shetty has
given enough hits in past. Story were not that great but OK. Execution
were also fine. but this movie is totally nonsense.

Film has no story, continuous flow is missing. No acting worthwhile to
watch. In previous days, we had Deepika Paducone to entertain but new
heroin, have nothing much to say.

SRK is spend force he has nothing new to show. Even if they have good
story line and good script we can excuse poor execution. anyway, Rohit
Shetty is history, Not interested in his movie anymore.

How long same old trick will continue.

Another stupid movie for Indian consumers.Because of fan following this

of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol together, the film does not accomplish in
capturing their epic romance. The comic capers start to fall apart soon
    thanks to their repetitive flavor.

Just adding romantic scenes+some songs+some fights does not make good

    Waste of time & money

There’s nothing new in ‘Dilwale’, which steals moments not just from
Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal’ films, but also from Hollywood Rom com ‘Love
Actually’. Rohit Shetty is back in his favorite Goa, choosing to use
sets which look like sets, done up in blindingly bright colors ( it’s
almost as if the scenarist is scared to miss out a single hue in the
palette). The film also takes a detour to Bulgaria (Why Bulgaria? Who
cares?) for a most improbable back-story, involving the main lead pair,
gangs, and guns and bullets, but gets back to its tiresome old haunts
and habits soon enough. This time around Shah Rukh shares space with
Varun Dhawan who, in turn has a romantic track with Kriti Sanon, and a
bumbling best friend track with Varun Sharma: SRK’s track with old
flame Kajol, which is meant to be the film’s mainstay, keeps coming and
going. And the other bit parts come and go, too, pretty much on a whim.
It’s almost as if someone says, now let’s bung in a comic track, and
out tumble Johnny Lever as a car thief, and Sanjay Misra as a pony-
tailed receiver of stolen cars, and Boman Irani as a pink-jacketed
mobster with a love of vintage cars. Yes, cars do play a big part here,
as they do in most Shetty films. And yes, a couple blow up most
satisfactorily. But ‘Dilwale’, on the whole, is a plot less drag : the
slaphappy antics you see on screen are a random jumble of light,
camera, action, done in the broadest sense. In this rigmarole, SRK is
the only thing worth watching when he switches on the wattage ( Kajol
can shine, too, when she chooses to), but his twin parts—a ‘car
modifier’ named Raj, and a gangster called Kali (yes, that’s right),
are both familiar and bland. When old hands SRK and Kajol look into
each other’s eyes, they can still make you feel it, except it doesn’t
happen enough. Not by a long shot.

You can give this movie a skip!

After Bajrangi Bhaijaan if there was one movie I went to watch with
high hopes it was Dilwale. The Salman Khan-starrer proved to be good
much beyond my expectations. It was time for Shah Rukh Khan to show his
magic. So how did I find the film. Here’s my take on it:

    POSITIVES:

    a) Few of the tracks in the movie esp. Janam Janam is fantastic b)
Varun Dhawan puts in a very good performance c) The performance of the
Support cast esp. Johnny Lever & Sanjai Mishra is beyond words. They
are simply amazing and gives you a lot to laugh about. Varun Sharma &
Mukesh Tiwari are good as well

    NEGATIVES:

    a) Horrible storyline!!! One little twist that is there in the movie,
comes in the first 45 mins. Everything else in the film is predictable,
boring and will not keep you engaged. It is time Rohit Shetty realizes
that cars flying do not make good movies. b) Shah Rukh Khans
performance is ordinary. As much as you think he would create magic on
the screen, he doesn’t. He is playing the role of a ex-don in the movie
but I don’t think he’s able to pull that off either. c) As for Kajol,
She couldn’t have chosen a worse comeback film. Her performance too is
nothing you would remember. She also looks fat and is at times an eye
soar. d) Kirti Sanon’s performance is bland as well. She did a far
better job in Heropanti. e) Dialogues in the movie are below par. One
line ”Hum Shareef Kya Hue, Poori Duniya Hi Badmash Ban Gayi” doesn’t
    make up for the rest.

    OVERALL:

Don’t spend your hard earned money on this one. Absolutely not worth
    it.

    Not worthwhile

I won’t recommend someone to watch this movie . An episode of of daily
soap opera would perhaps be less boring than this. It’s time SRK had
come up with some better story line than this spaghetti plot . If he
wants to entertain public , he should focus more on creativity and
theme rather than taking the spectators for granted . Not sure till how
long some people will chose to remain naive and keep on blowing their
money on such movies. It’s a copy cat of the Hollywood move Best of Me ,
yet one can imagine the torture when you stretch that 1.5 hour plot
into 2.5 . The re ignition of love with old flame would lead to some
numbers that the viewers have really been tired off all these years.
    God bless viewers.

A Must Watch For SRK-Kajol Lovers

Rohit Shetty and team are back again with Shah Rukh Khan. This time,
the star casts are bigger including Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon,
Boman Irani, Johny Lever, Varun Sharma and Sanjay Mishra. Concept is
not new. But the presentation is. Comedy part of the film is very high
along with high doze of action scenes. We can see emotional scenes for
the first time in Rohit’s movie. Locations are fabulous. Though Gerua
song doesn’t look like real, but, it is. All the action sequences were
shoot with the help of stuntmen, and believe me, it’s a hard job as I’d
seen the making. Srk looks stunning. His charming gestures has
aw-struck feelings for the ladies. As I have heard many times in the
hall. Whistles have been played when Srk develop the angry expression
for the first time. That scene was paisa-wasul. Varun Dhawan is the
second lead in male. He is good, and his tunning with Srk is superb.
Their emotional scene is one of the plus points. Kajol looks beautiful.
Her pair with Srk is the best. I love her in all her films, so this
time too she rolled it. Her character has many shades, and she portrays
every shade superbly. Kriti looks gorgeous. She suits with the film and
Varun, too. Varun Sharma is a good comedian. His solo speech is
awesome. Johny Lever is as usual. Boman Irani is nice. The man, Sanjay
Mishra is too good. Kabir Bedi and Vinod Khanna have cameo roles, and
they are perfect. Dialogues have been penned by Farhad-Sajid. Humor is
more compare to Chennai Express. But, it is less compare to Golmaal
series. Music by Pritam is good. Gerua is a hit. Janam Janam is as
well. Emotion song is cool. Tukur Tukur is suitable in the end titles.
I don’t get the reason why they put that slow song in the last 20
minutes. I mean it’s unnecessary. Lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya is
enjoyable. On the whole, SRK-Kajol lovers have to watch them on the
silver screen. I’m sure I don’t want to say to Srk’s fans to watch
this, because they will for sure. Others may find it slow and boring.
But, definitely a one time watch in the theater.

Biggest flop of the year 2015

Biggest flop of the year 2015 – waste of time and money. Intolerable
!!! The story is borrowed from a foreign film which is incompatible
with Indian ethos and culture. Moreover SRK’s recent utterance in regard
to tolerance in India will also weigh in the minds of the people
watching the film in theater. The excitement about the release of a new
movie of SRK is also missing this time. Frankly speaking the film is
nowhere up to the standard set by Ruhit Shetty and SRK.I did not like
it.I wish that other people are tolerant enough to tolerate the
uninspiring story and lack of all the magic and melodrama till now
being associated with SRK’s films. Film is really awful to watch. My
sympathies with Rohit Shetty who was searching for a big hit.

not any other type of movie.

Kajol is a sweetheart and SRK is at his disappointing best. Story-line
is so poor that you start getting bored from the beginning. It seems

The Best 3rd Class Movie I have seen ever

Very bad movie Please don’t west your Time to watch this film Very bad
    movie

    I want my money back

Was it too much to hope that SRK and Kajol would create magic once
    again?

If you are expecting any sort of decent story, this movie is not for
you. All you get are a lot of action shots, explosions and over the
    top, comical violence.

Kajol’s acting was good, SRK was OK. Cant really blame them since they
don’t have much to work with here.

This is more a Festive season money grab, than an honest attempt at
making a good movie. Throw in a couple of Big stars supported by a cast
of young actors and comedians, some funny dialogues and make a lot of
money.Whether the movie has a plot or not doesn’t seem to matter
    anymore.

After the RA-ONE fiasco, i honestly thought that SRK had made a genuine
mistake and that he wouldn’t do films like that again. But after this
one, I don’t intend to go for his movies anymore. I will download them,
    thank you.

I think that more than my monetary loss, i am just angry that they let
such great talents like King Khan and Kajol go to waste.

    Dilwale: Heart attack

The only thing that keeps you mildly engaged for the interminable 2 and
half hours of Dilwale is tomfoolery. However even there you are left
wondering whether the entire track is a bunch of silly lines or clever
brand placement. With Dilwale, Rohit Shetty goes hopelessly wrong
despite much that he had at his disposal, including a power-packed cast
and producer. Not that one has ever expected anything more than a
masala entertainer from him but Dilwale has neither masala nor
entertainment. It is just an unappetizing khichdi (hodge-podge) of
    action, emotion, romance and comedy.

Bottomline: Did Rohit Shetty make this film in his sleep? Seems so…

Instead of so much hype, the movie was a disaster.

Although, being an SRK movie it was expected to have some chain of
enthralling events in the movie. But, I as an audience kept on waiting
for those events to happen. The script is okay, and I would give it a
3.0/10.0 Kajol acting was remarkable and was the only exception to what
could be a disaster movie. Kajol memorable on screen skills should be
the highlight of the movie. 8.0/10.0 SRK : 5.0/10.0 Other cast :
3.0/10.0 Duration of the movie was like Koyla, never ending boredom. My
recommendations would be go for other flicks if you have an option and
is a little choosy when it comes down to monthly movie pick. Previous
Rohit shetty movies were outstanding, and seems Rohit has not hit the
nerve of the audiences this time. My best wishes to Rohit for this one.

Doesn’t Have The Heart One Expects From It!

Rohit Shetty’s highly awaited ‘Dilwale’ has finally hit the screens.
Sadly, I wasn’t impressed by the film. Reason? Well, despite such big
names associated to this biggie, The Writing & The Execution plays a
spoilsport. The wholesome entertainment value, is missing here!

‘Dilwale’ Synopsis: Two former lovers (SRK & Kajol) with a volatile
past, reunite years later, due to their siblings (Varun Dhawan & Kirti
Sanon), who fall for each other.

‘Dilwale’ has a mostly weak first-hour, where the humour & the
characters, both, don’t engage you. The only element in this hour that
works to an extend, is the flashback. The portions in the flashback
fair better, than what is served in present. The twist at the interval
point is predictable & the second-hour also scores low on energy. Also,
among the two love-stories, the one with the legendary on-screen pair,
is comparatively better, as the other love-story in line, offers
    nothing.

Rohit Shetty knows how to entertain audiences, but sadly, ‘Dilwale’ is
his weakest effort to date. The Entertainment Factor is missing here.
All you take home is a few moments & some comical punches. Yunus
Sajawal’s Screenplay needed a bigger heart. There are too many
loopholes in the narrative, although a few sequences are decently done.
But, A stronger Screenplay was the need here! Cinematography, Editing &
The Action-sequences are strictly okay. Pritam’s Score is good.

Performance-Wise: The legendary pairing of SRK & Kajol is the reason
why ‘Dilwale’ has gotten so much attention. But its Kajol who delivers
a credible performance, adding some weight to her weakly written
character. SRK isn’t in form this time, he looks jaded here. Varun
Dhawan hams. Its surprisingly to see the otherwise talented actor
summit to such buffoonery. Kirti Sanon looks pretty, but gets nothing
to do. Of the supporting cast, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh
Tiwari & Pankaj Tripathi lend great comedic energy & deliver some of
the most rubbish lines, with ease. Boman Irani, Vinod Khanna & Kabir
    Bedi are wasted.

On the whole, ‘Dilwale’ doesn’t work, despite a few merits.

demands .. I don’t know what’s the matter with the people with such
negative comments above .. It has everything which is required in a
film .. Comedy , action , love and most importantly its a good family
    package ..

Now a days movies can’t be watched with the family but this is a clean
    family entertainer ..

Now coming towards the acting section .. SRK has shown why he is known
as The King Of Bollywood , the way he switches his expressions , it’s
just amazing .. On the other hand Kajol has looked good and has done an
amazing job too .. Varun Dhawan and Kriti has looked very good together
.. Songs were beautiful , visuals are great too , and Action is so far
the best of Bollywood .. Me , my family and the other audience enjoyed
the film hell a lot ..

So Go and watch it and get entertained .. 10 on 10

One of the finest Bollywood movies I have watched in recent times.

Dilwale contains all the elements that a film needs in order to get
declared as a Blockbuster. It has perfect comedy scenes, breath-taking
action scenes and way too awesome romantic scenes. You’ll just love the
SRK-Kajol pairing. The songs are beautiful to watch and are perfectly
placed in the movie. Sanjay Mishra,Johnny Lever and Varun Dhawan were
too good in the movie. There are also some twists in the movie. I had
gone with less expectations for the movie as I was aware of the type of
movies made by Rohit Shetty. But I was totally shocked and surprised to
see that Dilwale was a completely different movie. It’s not at all a
typical Rohit Shetty movie. You never want the movie to end and the
length of just 2 and a half hours seemed too less. I’ve read some
reviews here and I am really upset to see people giving bad reviews
here. I believe that they are the one who haven’t watched the movie yet
and have just read some false stories of it somewhere. People, please
do not believe on those reviews. Go for the movie. You’ll fall in love
    with Indian cinema again.

Didn’t expect this boredom from an SRK-Kajol film!

I was so excited about the return of Bollywood’s golden ‘jodi’ that I
re-watched classics like DDLJ and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai before watching
Dilwale. I was actually celebrating the release of a Rohit Shetty film,
a film that had SRK, Kajol, Johnny Lever, Boman Irani.

My expectations were so brutally crushed after watching Dilwale that I
believe that Shah Rukh Khan’s heyday is now over. With films like Happy
New Year and Dilwale he has stopped influencing me with his innate
    charisma.

The story line is exceedingly predictable. Varun Dhawan and Kriti
Sanon’s love story is like a sleep-inducing narrative. SRK and Kajol’s
love story was so overdone that you feel like leaving the theater
during the interval. I will be reasonably disappointed if this banal
    film earns considerable profits.

The only positive aspect of the film was the 5-minutes comedy sequence
involving Johnny Lever. But by the time you reach to this funny scene,
    you feel exhausted.

With boring films like Tamasha and Dilwale, Bollywood needs to
seriously reconsider the type of entertainment it wants to deliver.

not that Bad but Definitely not That Great..typical but romance is fully there

after reading different negative reviews and opinions I was not that
surprised bcoz Rohit Shetty is not a Great director or film maker yet
he always delivers a superhit out of his pocket .the story is little
different when it comes to srk and kajol .I think Kajol has not
portrayed such character in any of her movies,It is quite different.the
chemistry between kajol and shahrukh can be seen.Varun Dhawan did well
as the brother of shahrukh.but definitely the movie relied on
starpower.Pankaj Tripathi and Mukesh Tiwari’s comic timing is a good
thing about Dilwale.Kajol is just fantastic. The lead actress matches
SRK move for move.watch it for their wonderful chemistry.

Thinking too much is injurious to brain

Nothing special about movie.I just wish Rohit Shetty gets to make Fast
and Furious one day, because if he can blast so many cars in this budget
then imagine him with that kind of budget, he might drop cars from
moon. Same Rohit Shetty cast ensemble,Goofy
characters, colorful, heroism, cars in action sequence, cars in song ,even
lead character’s business deals with cars.He is surely a car
fanatic.Drift ”inspired” from furious 7, date scene again ”inspired”
from sitcom ‘How I met your mother’, a brief wannabe ”Pyar ka
punchnama” speech. Shahrukh carries whole movie on his shoulders. Just
don’t think too much or hard and you’ll enjoy it

Shittier than the shittiest Bollywood movie ever made!!

Folks, please read completely as it may save you a lot of Money!!
OK!let me gather my senses now! Phew!! Yes!! I had stopped watching
star-casted Bollywood movies for more than a year now, but because of
the all the huge hype towards the end of the year and with the
re-incarnation of an old hit Bollywood pair, I gathered all my courage
to make one last attempt before the end of the year to watch at least
one Bollywood movie with a star-casted pair, and alas I guess in doing
that I just made the biggest mistake of my life and consider myself a
grave sinner in the eyes of the God!!

Yes, you guessed it right by now!!, I am taking about the movie Dilwale
that released today. I guess this movie was just utterly over-rated by
the SRK fans for no reason. Hey SRK fans, one romantic song with a cozy
dance on beautiful landscapes around the world does not make-up for a
good movie, instead you should go watch a movie like ‘ugly’ that
exposes the darkness lingering in our society, and to the director
Rohit Shetty?, boss, please stop making such dumb movies, I’ve heard
you are better than this, so prove it!! to SRK?, I think you are better
off these days to just show up at the stadiums with your family, and
cheer for your cricket team!! and please don’t waste your’s and
people’s time as your performances are getting worse with every movie!!

To sum it up, it was Rohit Shetty’s sh*tty direction again. The whole
plot was goofy, dialogs were 3rd class, jokes were bitter, action was
indigestible, acting was unbearable and romance was artificial. If you
ask me this movie would have been good as an advertisement for a
fairness cream, where a dusky looking Kajol (what I know of her from
the movie Baazigar) has now transformed into a Caucasian white actress
who can speak good Hindi and is capable of dancing around the trees and
lakes with an Indian actor, and SRK? hey dude, my hatred for you is
just increasing day by day, do I need to remind you that you are a
father of 3 kids now? yes I am including Abram in that pack as well,
and you now should start taking roles more suited for your age, Oh BTW,
did you watch the movie Udaan? Well, you could have been a father of
those 2 boys there? May be it would have been a better experience for
you, but, ‘NO’ you didn’t, and rather you just like taking up these
sh*tty roles. I think your main problem is that you are no more an
actor, you are more like a director’s puppet now who just performs as
directed with no skill of your own, and then let the marketing and
promotion team do the rest by advertising through fancy songs and dance
numbers to rob the innocent public of billions of rupees, and then
declaring the movie a’HIT’, and who knows the audience has been well
paid-off in advance or were even offered free tickets? and the same
money is just being collected later, could very well be True?!? for I
would be scared to spend my hard-earned money on a crap like this!!
And, Varun Dhawan? Oh boy, you seriously need some acting classes now,
and you seem to be just wasting your precious time at GYM!!, dude?
can’t you just speak ‘humanly’ and not drag the dialogs like a robot?
also you look like you are always on a high and drag the dialogs
unnecessarily? oh, now I know why you were running after the drugs in
the whole movie!? May be you were on a high and needed to take more
drugs!! LOL and Kriti Sanon? the less we see of you is better, glad you
had a very short role, and very well justified for your incompetent
acting skills, and for the rest of the cast? I don’t have much to say
except that, hope you were all paid well enough to perform such a crude
act on screen!! good job!! you did your best in showcasing your cheap
    acting skills!!

From all this, one thing is very much clear that this movie was made in
a haste just to meet the year end release date or to just compete with
another movie releasing on the same day!!

My final verdict, watching this movie, in one word, is ”suicide”, so
just listen to me and please save your hard earned money for something
special, may be even donate the price of the ticket to a needy person
on the street when you step out to watch this sh*t, may be you will get
blessed and God may help you in changing your decision to do something
better. I assure you this movie is even sh*ttier than Chennai Express
and Happy New Year!! So it’s the sh*ttiest ever!!

That’s it for tonight folks, I need to gather myself now and seek
forgiveness from Lord for I committed the biggest sin of my life!!

PS: Even after my horrible review, if you still dare go and watch this
movie, I promise your IQ levels will do down drastically and you may
need to visit a Psychiatrist later!! So please book your appointments
now as there might be a queue there in sometime!!

    A good entertaining movie

Finally, the much awaited ‘SRK-Kajol’ jodi’s movie, Dilwale is out in
the cinema theaters. many of us,’SRK lovers’ would have definitely had
gotten an idea that its another below par movie of SRK, the same as
HNY, but it’s a lot better than HNY, because of, first, the most loved
SRK & Kajol jodi, second, the director, third, very impressive
performances by the cast of the movie.

Story: So-so story; of course predictable, but when you wanna watch an
    Indian comedy rom-com movie, then who cares about the story much;
    especially when it’s an SRK-Kajol jodi’s flick.

Acting: SRK as usual is at his best. romance is his forte and no one
can topple him from his throne. Kajol looks adorable in every outfit
she has wore, and acting is superb! Rest all the other actors were very
good and do not let you think about the weak & clichéd story that it
    presents.

All-in-all, it’s an entertaining movie with good action scenes of SRK,
mesmerizing love scenes of SRK & Kajol, ace music & picturesque
    locations.

I’d definitely recommend everybody to hit the theaters for enjoying
this movie, despite of all the chaos and terror made around the release
    of the movie. Bullshit!!!

    My Rating: 8/10

Not Much Special. Routine Base. Loss of Money & Time

Most expected name Dilwale failed to satisfy the expectations as it
runs on the expected twists and routine story base.. Visually good like
Love Story 2020 😉 . Failed to reach the hype. Loss of valuable Time
and Money. Climax is also the most Bollywood type. Not enough comedy.
SRK & Kojal combination not worked out to be the best for the Team.
Rohit Shetty Failed to extract much from Varun and Kriti. Stunts and
Dance are OK. Film stays cool through out. No much exiting. Comedy has
failed miserably to attract people.Making and Graphic is Good. Over all
SRK and Kajol combination was pleasing. Story is bit weaker in
performance which leads to the failure of the film. Tough Competition
in the market out there but well tried.

There are better ways to spend your money… LOL !!!

    GOSH! CE,HNY & this one. 3rd in a row.

Dear Shah Rukh Khan Sir, You are a gem of an actor. You truly are.
Exceptions are always high from you. But, as an admirer of your
acting,I want you to see you in some sensible films rather than these
useless movies.Last Classic from you was in 2010 as My Name Is
Khan.Though,Don 2 can be considered marginally.Hopefully, the upcoming
FAN & Raees will satisfy me ! … Coming to the film,
Unexpectedly,Rohit Shetty changed his directorial pattern & tried to
pour some story & logic in his recently released directorial venture
which has been expectedly concluded with the term of ”One time watch”.
The two gigantic monuments in the history of Indian film industry &
their renowned heart-warming chemistry went waste due to lack of proper
    execution & typical monotonous story-line of Revenge,Betrayal & Love. I
think, Indian cine-goers have been moved way forward now-a-days to see
those romantic couple dance in colourful dresses among yellow tulip
flowers or some hill areas with the backdrop of beautiful sunset or to
tolerate boring family drama. 1st half was decent but second half was
thoroughly disappointing & charmless. After the 1st twist, the whole
scenario of the film was crystal clear. Action scenes were superb, I
have to admit. Comedy scenes seemed raffle & worthless. Even That USP
of a Rohit Shetty film i.e. ‘Entertainment’ was very much missing in
that film. Nevertheless, its a collaboration of ”King of Entertainment”
& ”King of Bollywood” along with the presence of historical ‘SRK-
Kajol’ pair. & it has been entitled with the name Dilwale. So, I should
use Heart more rather than to use my Brain. Hahahah!!!

P.S.: Thanks torrent for saving my money.

No one does better action than Shahrukh Khan

No one does better action than Shahrukh Khan when it comes to clean and
simple action movies. This movie has great action scene and Shahrukh
khan has done his part. Movie is fun to watch at theater because of
nice soundtracks and background score.SRK & Kajol chemistry is not what
i expected but its amazing because its different this time. Not same
old love story. Varun Dhawan is good actor and he played his character
very well. There are many comedians in this movie and all played their
characters very nicely especially ‘Sanjai Mishra’

Overall movie is a good watch. SRK & Kajol fans can watch it couple of
    times 🙂

Utterly STUPID, CHEAP and ANNOYING movie

I’m totally disgusted with this movie, the story, screenplay, action,
direction, music and what not. SRK and Kajol look very STALE, fail to
act and emote, should retire and make room for freshers who can. I
can’t understand how people flock to theaters just to watch their
    favorite actors.

Story is so stupid and makes us chuckle at times. The Ram Lal Dhobi
twist is so disgusting and annoying. SUDDEN down pour of HEAVY,
artificial rain in one scene makes us chuckle saying, ”Holy crap” to
ourselves. Flashbacks are done by a seemingly inexperienced director.

Music is dumb and loud. We forget it the moment we walk out of the
    theater.

There is no chemistry or character-building and when actors weep, it
does not have any effect on us and it is even ANNOYING.

Its a shame our standards have fallen to this low level. Avoid this one
at all costs. Go watch Star Wars instead and you will be glad you
    skipped it.

    A very good family entertainer

The reviews written by some critics if I can call them that no matter
what is released gets panned by some so called critics whose job I
would love. This film is everything you except from a Christmas release
it has romance, action, comedy and very good music. Performances of the
all the actors is first class. Shahrukh and Kajol light up the
screen,Varun Dhawan, Kriti, Varun Sharma and a superb outstanding
Johnny Lever make this Diwale a success. All the songs are shot
beautifully and the locations are perfect. This needs to be seen for
what it is and not compared to anything else. Go and watch the film
    then review on here.

  • Anas Anis ([email protected])December 19, 2015Reply

My plans were thwarted by the critics but then somehow my friends made me to watch this movie. I must say DILWALE is undoubtedly a great entertainer.

I should start off by saying that I am not a great fan of BOLLYWOOD and
I would rather go for a mediocre Hollywood movie with high expectations
rather than a multi-starer Bollywood movie with big names but I am
writing this because I think it deserves this not because I am paid or
something for this but because I was constantly thinking of one thing,
”What were the critics talking about?” I read many reviews on Hindu
Times, Tribune etc you just name it. So I think it would be fair if I
put something in appreciation because many of you would be having some
plans of watching this movie and many who are really finicky about
cinema would definitely bat an eye on the critics and their plans could
    well be thwarted.

So here is how I ended up watching the movie and then what I got from
it after I had watched it:

Well I was reading the critics and polls all over the internet over the
past few days and was thoroughly disappointed the way DILWALE turned
out and I was not willing to watch it. But then my friends persisted me
on watching it. I entered the cinema with not so many expectations but
it made me jaw-dropped how the film turned out in front of my eyes.

The first fifteen minutes were tedious and weren’t able to get my
attention whatsoever but then the movie takes pace and suddenly I even
couldn’t divert my attention at my will (I was busy eating and savoring
my burger which I then forgot that I had to finish it too).

The direction and cinematography is exceptional especially in Bulgaria
and the song of course ”GERUA” which we all know was shot in Iceland.
The think tank and Rohit Shetty did a great job in presenting those
picturesque-colorful sets. Varun’s role suited his style of acting and
not to forget mentioning Kriti was decent too along with the sparkling
performances of Sanjay Mishra, Johnny Lever and the chubby guy with
    Varun.

The comedy is there to be gagged about and the action is sub-par as per
the Bollywood standards as we know how Bollywood action is so it was
cliché and nothing to critique about. SRK and Kajol were great too and
lived up to their stakes. The music was impeccable kudos to PRITAM for
giving out yet another great album.

People who are thinking to watch the film should definitely go for it,
don’t bother about the critics. I am not a big fan of Bollywood too but
this made me to post this message.

    Overall DILWALE is 9/10. 🙂

    Why SRK??

what is wrong with SRK what happened to his picks this time he has
crossed all the limits never thought this much pathetic stuff even Hny
looks like a masterpiece which was pathetic too,the writer is the most
lazy person and so lame he is so lazy that he forget to write the story
but how could even someone say yes to this movie and that too if he is
SRK,Is Rohit Shetty done a black magic on him even action wise he
failed horribly and screenplay was the worst part everything was
expected because of the glimpse of the flashback coming and it was not
even worth it and trust me i am one of the biggest fan of Srk and if i
am saying so bad against him then there is almost everything wrong with
this movie shame on Srk and Kajol for doing this movie and put down th
expectation of people please don’t ever do Masala film again the talent
that you have is unmatchable don’t destroy by making this type of
crappiest stuff do only intense serious films fan and Raees looks good
though and not me every universe want you to see in a quality movie
please think before you sign any project specially avoid Farah Khan
Rohit Shetty this two are the biggest upset of your career in last few
years world is cruel there is already so much negativity against you
only way to stop them is by making good stuff they will shut there
mouth but how will it happen if you continue to this type of stuff only
2 stars i have given just because some comedy and beautiful songs
dilwale is total zero otherwise i am very sad writing all this but this
is the epic disaster of all time.

Dilwale is predictable and boring with nothing new to offer !!!!

Some of the Bollywood potboilers are meant to entertain with mindless
screenplay and no-sense comedy. Rohit Shetty has mastered the art of
this kind of cinema. Only this time , he goes one step ahead and gives
    you a senseless caper.

Dilwale tells the story of two families meet again again after 15 years
when their dark past comes in front of them

From the masala entertainments like Golmaal , Singham series, Bol
Bachan and Chennai express, Rohit Shetty gives yet another spineless
film which is full on masala entertainment but easily forgettable once
you are out of theater. The only silver lining is the superb acting by
Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The movie begins with forced comic scenes and
unnecessary situations especially from Varun Dhawan and Johnny Lever
which you are sure going to hate. It is only when Kajol enters the
scene, you will heave a sigh of relief. The sparkling chemistry between
Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol saves the day and you wish the second half
might be interesting as their jodi.

Unfortunately, the second half drags and the climax becomes typical
bollywood melodrama with hero delivering high-content dialogues and
blowing few punches. Editing could have been better and songs becomes
hindrance to the pace. Art direction and cinematography is outstanding.
Shah Rukh Khan is the scene stealer despite so many shortcomings in the
movie. The actor is brilliant but is saddened by weak screenplay. Kajol
lends a good support and looks gorgeous. Varun Dhawan antics will
remind you Salman Khan. Probably he should define his unique style.
Kirti Sanon is strictly okay. Johnny Lever irritates. Sanjay Mishra
disappoints. Mukesh Rishi is good. Boman Irani is brilliant.

Overall , Dilwale is predictable and boring with nothing new to offer.

    Crappiest

So in the last week I saw two movies, both having USP of epic love
story ”Dilwale” and ”The Peanuts Movie”. Both the movies have the same
genre Action-RomCom movie. So which one is better?? Hands down ”The
Peanuts Movie”. Is it laughable to compare to a movie having real life
actors vs an animated movie?? No, absolutely not because ”The Peanuts
Movie” triggers emotions which cannot be matched by ”Dilwale”. Just
having a wonder-couple in the movie which is famous for a romantic
genre doesn’t make the movie romantic. Dilwale doesn’t brings complex
storyline (one of the actor in the movie has compared it to
inception….*face- palm). Lacks sense of humour, the jokes are just
laughable because of the cheap standard of the jokes in such a big
budget movie. In contrast, a virtual world of The Peanuts Movie just a
joy ride to watch, its a roller coaster ride of emotions. You really
connect to the movie on a personal level. Dilwale fails to makes this
personal connection, it is far from reality…no common man is a mafia
*face-palm. So which one is a better love story…”The Peanuts Movie”
and that too not showing the face of the lead actress until the end
scene. – ”Not a SRK hater” but sincerely ”A Peanuts Comic Fan”

    Probably Rohit Shetty’s weakest film.

Big Budget, Big Cast, High expectations.. and a complete disaster!
Dilwale is in fact according to me Rohit Shetty’s weakest film till
date. It is just an unappetizing meal of action, emotion, romance and
comedy. Even Shetty who specializes in action and comedy, comes out
    curiously lacking.

Whats good: The film starts off good, the first 20 minutes is decent.
But soon after, the narrative falls apart completely . Apart from that
the only thing which keeps you engaged is Sanjay Mishra’s kookiness.

Whats bad: THE SCRIPT. The film is neither funny nor entertaining. The
deliberate attempt to repackage and sell the Kajol- SRK romance
backfires. Even actors like Boman Irani and Johnny Lever have been
completely wasted. Varun overdoes it, Kajol tries too much and
    SRK…(no comments).

Verdict: Just one question to Rohit and Shah rukh…. WHY??

    Watch or not: Avoid

  • Venkat SubramanianDecember 19, 2015Reply

    Fast and Furious Type Entertainment!

Great entertainment! This film is worth watching for the fun it
provides and the acting backs it up. Kajol in a very different role,
walks away with all plaudits. Hers is a knockout performance. SRK is
effective as the big brother and is also good in the romantic portions.
The music is very effective, with Gerua being a chart buster. The other
actors are efficient. Negatives of course are that it could have been
more on the drama/romantic side to cater to SRK-Kajol fans and less of
the Rohit Shetty style. Too much of silly comedy drags proceedings in
second half. But overall, its an entertaining watch, especially if you
    are an SRK-Kajol fan.

    Awful script, acting

This is pathetic movie making. Bollywood should soon go back to old era
where movies were made out of good scripts and brilliant acting.I could
not stand even SRK’s acting in this film even though I am a great fan
of him. SRK, please stay away from directors like Rohit for not being
part of shitty movies like this. Talking about the positive side, Songs
are sounding nice which people can watch via you-tube and Arijit melody
number is superb. This is shaming the Kajol-SRK pair which was
cherished by the movie goers for a long time. The guy who worked behind
dialogues does not fit to his job. Comedy is brought down to a level
where nobody gets a good laugh. In a nutshell, the movie don’t even
deserve a single star. I gave it for arijit.

It should’ve been named ”BinaDimaagWale” instead of Dilwale! take my
advice and save yourselves some money and time, and more importantly
    brain!

Some songs were good. choreography was decent in parts. but other than
that, there’s literally nothing in this movie.

A beautiful story that is undeveloped…

I don’t know why people expected this movie to be like DDLJ or any or
Srk’s past works. Did you guys watch the trailer before you saw it? The
trailer didn’t suggest that this would be the next DDLJ or etc. No one
did. So why do people assume it’s going to be a very serious movie?
People will bash the film because they don’t do their research or they
have some sort of bias against it

This is a Rohit Shetty film, I repeat a Rohit Shetty film. And he has
outdone himself to actually create a story. The comedy and cars do not
prevail in this movie, Stk and Kajol do. The concept behind this movie
is beautiful. Srk’s acting is excellent and so is Kajol’s. Her
character actually really fits her personality. The film has all
elements (comedy, romance, etc..). Beautifully filmed. The storyline is
    beautiful but not developed right.

I wish this film ran longer, because the scenes followed each other
rapidly with no breathing time.. I wish they had really emphasized
parts of the story or practically every scene. There seemed to be too
much but too little time to fit it in, thus leaving you feel
incomplete. Srk’s acting is wonderful but an emphasized storyline would
have done it justice. Seriously, the intensity of his character will
blow you away. Maybe because this movie has all elements, it feels very
rapid. Trying to fit too much in and leaving it feeling incomplete. You
won’t get a closure feeling from this because it will keep reminding
you of Raj or Kaali. More songs would have been nice too!

I will be honest and say that it made me really nostalgic to see Kajol
and SRK again, but the chemistry was coming more from SRK this time,
not Kajol. His character really makes this movie. Overall a beautiful
story but not fully developed. SRK does make this movie, and this movie
will leave you incomplete. You will be wanting to go watch his old
movies after this one. It left me feeling very sad, his character made
    me very sad.

    Extremely unacceptable !!

First of all, I’d like to say that I went to watch this movie on the
first day itself (with a head full of expectations). I fancied the idea
of seeing the prettiest jodi once again on screen. DDLJ being watched
everyday by at least hundreds of Indians, the makers of Dilwale has
disgraced the entire Indian Film industry by releasing this Christmas
”Gift”. I mean, the story (if they have one) is so ridiculous and
predictable from the very beginning itself. I still don’t find a reason
why they can’t invest a little more time and effort on the story if
they can spend millions on silly car crashes and stunts. Afterall,
story is more important, right?I don’t think that even SRK fans would
find this movie enjoyable. This clichéd piece of art has ruined my
    Christmas.

However there are some Pros(-for the sake of saying-) * Good visual
effects, especially the Gerua song. * Bollywood’s prettiest couple
comes once again. * Varun Dhavan and Kriti Sanon makes a cute jodi. *
Boman Irani’s character (though out of place, he has given some
laughter) * Songs are superb. * Some wonderfully modified cars can be
    seen.

    It’s a Bad Apple. don’t you dare eat that…..!

its a bad movie a bad story and its a worst star cast. story of this
movie doesn’t make any sense 2 gangster fathers, one has 2 sons the
other has 2 daughters. both pairs fall in love with a same situation
Shah Ruk was driving a car and meet Kajol . Varun was driving a car and
meet the other girl ( don’t know her name sorry ) so much comedy but
its a same old comedy that we have experience in the past nothing you
will remember once you walk out of the theater. according to me peoples
should stop watching and supporting this kind of cinema. Shah Ruk was
exactly like his past movies he never live up to his stardom for past 5
years calls him self king khan but i think hes is finished and he
should retire from acting instead of making films like Chennai express,
happy new year, Dil Wale, jab Tak Hai Jaan, and Ra One etc. Kajol what
can i say about her. shes been retire for a while now and the brought
her back to rob Desi’s because of the major success Jodi in the past
DDLJ. and shes was average because of the bad story line. Varun’s over
acted a little bit. Boman Irani had a very small role and he was
annoying the whole time. last but least very bad direction by Rohit
Shetty. he blow up to many cars i cant call this a action movie or a
comedy nor a romantic movie its a mixture of everything one of the
scene was copied from tom cruise’s movie mission impossible. last words
its a yet again big disappointment from Shah Ruk

  • riyachatDecember 19, 2015Reply

Full on entertainer filled with magical cinematic moments!! 😀

To start of, let’s separate the contents into 6 parts. Story, Rohit
Shetty, Varun and Kriti, Miscellaneous, Kajol and Shahrukh Khan.

Story – Have you watched Tamasha? There’s a beautiful sequence where
the storyteller says that all the stories are the same. Boy meets girl,
fall in love and history repeats itself again n again. Now, how you
treat that same old story is what matters. This one, predictable yet so
spicy and indulging throughout. Rohit shetty surely knows how to spice
    it up.

Coming to Rohit himself, the hit man surely knows how to churn out hits
after hits on a constant basis. His armory of slapstick punches and
gravity defying stunts seem to be unending. Now comes the glitch. His
approach towards a love sequence or so to a say his depiction of a love
story seems a bit premature. When you have king and queen working under
your direction you must add up some more sizzling sequences between
    them.

Varun and Kriti – The worst part of any movie is when the actors don’t
how they have to enact and what their role is in the larger picture.
This is exactly what these 2 dint do. They knew very well that this is
a SRK-Kajol Movie and supported them throughout and beautifully. Even
their own spaces were equally important for the growth of the movie.
Varun acted really well specially in all the comic scenes. Kriti did
    unexpectedly well.

Miscellaneous – All the other actors have done justice to their roles.
Action and comedy sequences were equally pulled of with grace and
grandeur. Some of the comedy sequences are definitely world class
    (critics also say so :P).

Kajol – Forget that you know kajol. Just assume that you are watching a
Bollywood movie for the first time. The idea you will get from her role
and appearance is she is the leading actress in the industry who has
been ruling for last 6-8 years. Yes, she is that much confident,
convincing, subtle and strong in the flick. Well, do I need to specify
her chemistry with her opposite number? I guess you’ll find that in
every review wink emoticon. Would just want to say that they just dint
seem to be out of touch .. not even for a day. God, how does Gauri
    tolerate all these??

Shah Rukh Khan – Is there any word that hasn’t been used to describe
his screen presence and undeniable awe? He loves, He cries, He fights
and finally stretches his arms and reminds everyone that you can try
your bloody best but when the king reigns you must bow down. His recent
movies may have not been critically acclaimed but one can’t deny that
in each trial the man is maturing leaps and bounds. The ease with which
he portrays a lover, a brother and a dark character is something one
should look up to. One stand out point which may sound a bit freakish
is that from a personal point of view SRK has executed the action
sequences better than the romantic sequences. When I say this please
also note that I also believe that his romantic sequences are the best.
Just one sequence of that ruthless aggression added up with the dark
bearded look is something you get your moneys worth for & finally he
ends it up with an amazing superman punch at which even Roman Reigns
would have been extremely proud of!!

    Worst film of the Century

Actually i can sum up the whole review in just 3 words – WASTE OF TIME,
but since I have to reach the maximum of 10 lines i will just have to
continue. The movie falls flat in almost all aspects. Well not almost it
does fall flat in all aspects! Please do not make any more movies coz
we are better without such torture in the name of Indian Cinema. if you
r not satisfied with your air conditioner at home and want to have a

new Botoxed face, Varun was good, Kirti was fine, yet nothing
impressive.-3 songs are not enough for a Bollywood Movie-Lots of
Jumbles of past and Present-Climax was awful-I want my money back Plus

a good family entertainer-ONE TIME WATCH

This movie with me is no more than a 6. Had a few entertaining scenes
and a few good songs. Some scenes as we expect from rohit shetty films
were VERY unrealistic but Johny lever added some entertainment to the
movie and SRk and KAJOl history made the movie 6. If it was not for
this the movie would have been 1/10

I would recommend if you are a big SRK fan then go watch this movie at
the cinema otherwise if your bored and having nothing better to do buy
a DVD and watch it at home. Personally i would chose this movie over
bajirao mastani. Finally JAnam JAnam i believe is one of the best songs
of 2015 by far. HATs off

comedy, many scenes where forced into the movie which made no sense at
all I hardly laughed at two scenes otherwise I was watching it with a
straight face I would never recommend u to watch it, disappointed in

    Watchable SRK-Kajol Jodi

I was waiting long for this movie as the jodi was back again in
romance. Rohit shetty’s Dilwale is an enjoyable movie apart from its
flaws. Kajol was terrific on her comeback so as Shahrukh with his
scintillating looks. The dialogues were not much effective but the
songs in the movie stole my heart. There were few action scenes which
was not expected in Rohit’s movie however the plot was predictable
though good enough. Varun and Kriti had small roles but played there
part as well. This was out of genre for Rohit Shetty from action comedy
to Romantic action movie however it worked as well. For SRK-Kajol
lovers, this is a must watch entertainer.I liked this movie and go with
3.5/5 for this movie. Don’t listen to critics and have a watch for
    this.

    Finally Bollywood is Back

Finally bollywood is back… A great movie to end the year 2015. Great
cast, great acting, great story, great humor and great making.
Everything is best. Thank you SRK and Kajol. Varun and Kriti has also
done a very great job. I don’t write reviews but this movie has made me
write my first review. I was very disappointed with nearly all the
movies of bollywood in year 2015 except Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Prem ratan
dhan payo has also very disappointed me and I was not expecting much
from dilwale too. But this movie has done it. You can see how much
effort is done in making this movie. Great choice of places. Very clean
and refreshing. Songs are too good and their video has made them
    perfect. A must watch movie.

    Zero substance…zero fun…what a mess!

The lone star I give the movie is due to 2 causes. a.I can’t rate it a
zero, and, b.Kajol looks awesome in this movie. That is also, by the
way, the only positive thing in this joke of a movie. That a movie like
this has got such a wide release is in itself a miracle. This movie has
a non-existential plot, stuff keeps happening due to no reason at all,
and it just looks like everyone came to the set looking happy, just to
bide the hours, and collect their paychecks. SRK may be a big star, and
he is capable of good acting, but that has to wait for another day.
This is utter rubbish. Looks like Rohit Shetty doesn’t have any funny
bones left in him anymore. He should either try and reinvent himself,
or look for other career opportunities. You should not watch this,
    IMHO.

  • rohandputhurDecember 20, 2015Reply

Overall its a good movie in entertainment category

if you are looking for a theme or a message this is not the one. This
one just keeps you entertained for two and a half hrs.Superb
performance from the leading pair SRK and Kajol. Although there is a
bit flaw in the comedy section, the locations, romance, action and
momentum keeps on going. In between you might loose the grip of the
movie, but the songs and romance keeps you attached with the movie.

Shetty (director) has got the best bollywood pair back on screen and
has done a great job. Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon have done justice to
their roles. If you are a Srk – Kajol fan then this one is a big treat,
for the rest this is just an another above average movie.

One Of The Best Movies Rohit Has Made Till Now !

Rohit Shetty has seriously outdone himself with this movie. He came
such a long way from CE To Dilwale. The storyline is awesome, the
sequence of events will keep you on the edge of your seat just wanting
to know whats going to happen next. The songs take you to a whole
different world, shot so beautifully. We see SRKajol’s love story in a
never before seen avatar, having twists and turns in a very interesting
and intriguing way. Kriti and Varun make a great on-screen couple, both
totally cute. This Movie Is Simply Flawless!!!!! The comedy, the
action, the love, everything is carried out so perfectly and you can
just watch it again and again without feeling bored. Each character was
played out so professionally👌🏻 This movie is definitely a 10/10!
SRKians, Kajol Fans, Varuniacs, and Kriti fans; Don’t hesitate for a
second about going to the theater and watching Dilwale. Its a full
family entertainer, really brings the family together, suitable for
kids all the way to the senior members. No regrets, no second thoughts.
I’d definitely go for this movie over & over again.

A great film with everything for everyone

Dilwale is here, with the iconic romantic couple. Do not pay attention
to the negative reviews here, by looking at the content and the way it
is written it is clear that these people did not even watch this movie.
This is a family masala entertainer, a great way to end 2015, a year
which have been short of good films. The supporting cast did a great
job & they are important for the story. Varun-kriti are cute as a
couple, Varun sharma, J.lever & Sanjay Mishra are hilarious in their
comedy role. Khanna & Bedi have small but very impactful roles. But the
star of the film is without any doubt the evergreen couple, SRK- Kajol.
After so many years it seems like nothing has changed between them. The
way they look at each other make you think that they are actually real
couple. (But don’t go with the expectation of a new DDLJ, this is
impossible) I wished there was more romance cause you just cant get
enough of them. The action is not like other shetty films where people
fly, its more Hollywood style. If you want to have a great time with
friends, family or partner, just go for it and enjoy this amazingly
    sweet movie.

You all haters are just hating because of what SRK said about his
religious views. Thats his opinion YOU cant change it. Boycott the
movie just because he spoke from his heart? you people disgusts me!!!!!
FYI it wasn’t just SRK who made the movie, there are 1000 of actors in
Dilwale so if you don’t like SRK, watch it for others ACTORS hard work.
Overall, Dilwale is an AMAZING movie!! You can watch Dilwale with your
family, friends, bf or gf. Dilwale is for everyone. The chemistry of
SRK & KAJOL!!!! OMFG I cant believe SRK & KAJOL are married to
different people 🙁 Anyway, Watch DILWALE, ITS AN AMAZING MOVIEEEEE 😉
SRK & KAJOL ARE THE BEST ON SCREEN JODI IN BOLLYWOOD. No one can be as
good as them in chemistry wise. Dilwale deserves

too serious film. Filled with Romance, Comedy and Action. Visual
graphics were amazing. The songs were brilliant. No one in cast stood
out, everyone had a very good role and did superb. Almost every
character made you laugh! I found myself literally Loling in some

Very nice, clean, fun, not too serious, light movie. Srk and Kajol were

    Awful Picture

The movie sucks big time i always watched rohit shetty movies at last
his Juggernaut stops here. Comedy was misplaced ,Kirti Shannon as an
actress was just a showpiece and Johnny lever jokes hardly made any
sense . Overall Retard movie it makes Humshakkal looks like Better
    movie .

The Movie lacks story in first case this is only for emotional SRK-
Kajol fanboys and fangirls however 155 minutes was pure torture i was
waiting for the movie to end honestly . I dunno how SRK is watching his
own movies may be his days are counting now as an actor.

Overall i only see the stand point was effort of Varun Dhawan in entire
movie i felt he tried to make presence in the movie felt but i would
recommend SRK not to destroy this young lads career thank you !!

Majority of the 10* reviews are fake fake fake!

It is hilarious to see the first 4 pages of reviews of Dilwale has a
10* rating which was rather surprising to me. So I go in to the profile
of each of those people and there you have it most of the reviewers had
joined IMDb in Dec and this is the only movie they have rated.

It is just sad when movie makers have to create fake profiles and rate
the movie high so the public would fall for it and watch the movie. But
this is such a sad strategy as we can not be fooled for long.

I wanted to check the reviews first before watching the movie but
thankfully the real reviews from real people have told me exactly what
    i needed to know!

Dilwale is Rohit Shetty’s worst movie. It’s painfully fake and hopelessly contrived; an assembly-line piece of garbage that mistakes the audience for a fool.

Here’s the thing with Rohit Shetty movies: we know it’s going to be the
leave-your-brain-behind type. We know it’s not going to make any sense.
We know the internet trolls and the twitterati are going to bite into
the movie even before it releases.

And yet we watch it. For the simple reason that he makes us laugh.

Somewhere in the middle of Chennai Express, the jokes had dried up, the
quips and the crisp dialogue had thinned, and the monotony was there to
be seen. Singham Returns exposed that even further.

But this one takes the cake.

Dilwale is Rohit Shetty’s worst movie. It’s painfully fake and
hopelessly contrived; an assembly-line piece of garbage that mistakes
    the audience for a fool.

So we have Shah Rukh Khan playing Kaali (go figure!), a retired son of
a mafia boss, who lives with his younger brother Veer (Varun Dhawan) in
Goa, the setting of many of Shetty’s films. Veer’s love interest is
Ishita (a lovely Kriti Sanon). And Kaali has a brief, turbulent
love-hate past with Meera (Kajol) in Bulgaria, which catches up with
    him later in his life.

In the midst of all this there are mafia bosses, a local Goan don for
the villain, a sidekick (Varun Sharma, aces it) and the usual Rohit
Shetty comedians thrown in for good measure.

This is a movie laced with stereotypes. Be it the step brothers with
one of them being an orphan, or the painfully obvious plot twists, ones
which can be seen from a mile away.

In terms of performances, there’s not much to do for Kriti Sanon except
for looking really pretty. Varun Dhawan has done this kind of goofy
man-child role in Main Tera Hero before; he’s pretty much the same
    here.

Kajol looks simply stunning, she’s aged beautifully. Her acting
credentials were never in doubt, but she’s saddled with such a hopeless
    role and cringeworthy dialogue.

Shah Rukh sleepwalks through this role, just like he’s done in Happy
New Year and Chennai Express. He’s an absolute bore; his eyes grim and
    his face stoic.

What is most disappointing is that the hullabaloo surrounding this
movie was about the coup that Shetty managed to pull off with SRK and
Kajol, unquestionably Bollywood’s most chemically potent pair, and yet
their chemistry is almost non-existent in Dilwale. Not being able to
capitalize on SRK-Kajol’s pair just goes to show what a shoddy mess the
movie is. Yes, there are the occasional sparks, like the silent nod to
the ‘palat’ scene from DDLJ, but those are few and far between.

Almost all the lines fall flat, which is disappointing, especially
coming from dialogue writers like Sajid-Farhad. The scenes look
farcical, the acting extremely fake, and the jokes forced. Barely a
couple of laughs are generated, mainly due to the ever-reliable Johnny
Lever and another Priyadarshanesque montage leading to a hilariously
    confusing story.

Shetty has always been ‘inspired’ by various films, as evidenced by the
Golmaal series, Bol Bachchan and even Singham. With Dilwale, not only
has he taken bits and pieces from trashy potboilers of the 80s, but
this time he’s gone further and taken a page out of a TV show.

In the middle of the once-amazing CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother,
protagonist Ted Mosby meets a woman called Stella, and due to shortage
of time, he takes her on a two-minute date, an extremely endearing
montage, and one of the highlights of the show. Our man Shetty
blatantly copies the concept, and it’s neither impressive nor
    heartwarming.

It’s a shame to see Rohit Shetty start taking the audience for granted
to such an extent. It’s even more shameful that Shah Rukh Khan agreed
to not only act in this mess, but also produce it. Dilwale is a mistake
that will be difficult to erase.

Somewhere in the middle of the movie, Varun Dhawan is proposing to
Kriti Sanon. And in a bid to go all out, he plans to do the one thing
that simply can’t fail in Bollywood – SRK’s arms-raised pose.

He prays, ‘Bhaiya, sambhaal lena’. Sure, he gets the girl. But not even
his bhaiya can save this atrocity of a movie.

    Over rated movie

In one sentence ”Movie is crap” does not have any content of
Entertainment,Same ”old-retired” script I fall sleep midway. Folks lost
money in Multiplexes thats OK,but this movie is mental torture.
Bollywood will die very soon If they keep on repackaging garbage story
and over hyped publicity. Rohit-Shetty is very talented director even
he can’t do anything with this. Poor Screenplay plagiarized popular
Hindi movie dialog is big turn-of, its worst than Nukkad-Nautanki.
People come to theater to see good story, great acting- ex Gang of
Wasseypur or for extravagant its Bahubali ..thats called movie. I
watched this movie only for Kajol, After this movie I really feel sorry
    about Bollywood.

Why so much negativity ? Its a fun film and its designed in that way only…

For the first time, I am actually feeling the negativity for SRK as
this time he has made an actually nice film which is being wrongly
scrutinised by the haters of SRK (Previously for Ra.One and HNY he was
slammed badly, but those were disgusting films). This is a genuinely
good film and please don’t listen to all the negativity around. Most of
it is influenced by the idiotic politicians, Bajirao Mastani fans and
SRK haters. The film is designed to be a mass entertainer and it
succeeds in that. It’s true that u can’t see the film the way you see
other intellectual films. It’s a mass film, a light film and does not
deserve the biased reviews it’s getting now. The music of the film is
excellent, Performance of the lead actors is great, though Sanjay
Mishra and Boman Irani disappointed. Editing is crisp. Background score
completely compliments the narrative. Rohit Shetty succeeds in
providing what he alway does- Full on Entertainment. If you don’t apply
much of your brain and watch it with a light heart, you will surely
laugh a lot and love this film. Go Watch it with your family and have
    Fun….

Love has history and SRK & Kajol has chemistry.

It’s the kind of romantic drama that draws heavily on these two stars
and their unrivalled on-screen chemistry. It’s the kind of entertainer
where the story is an afterthought. And that’s a good thing.

The story goes thus: Meera and Raj belong to two warring Mafia families
operating in Bulgaria. There’s Raj, the adopted son of an India Mafia
gang lord, brandishing guns and stealing trunks of gold from his
opponents. He’s a mean machine in a leather jacket, but turns soft
after he runs into Meera. What follows is a squeaky clean courtship
comprising dinner dates with flowers, ice-creams, candlelight dinner …
the works. It’s undoubtedly corny, but credit is due to Khan and Kajol
for injecting it with believability. Just when you think that the movie
is heading south, there’s an interesting twists and ends with happy
    ending.

Movie has comic and love stories which will surely makes it a complete
family drama and you can spare some time to watch it once.

I’m not understanding the hate around this movie.

I’m really disappointed in the reviews i’ve seen here. The movie is a
great movie to watch with family. As someone who rarely watches
Bollywood movies, my sister convinced me to go watch this. I really
love the chemistry Varun and SRK had in this movie and the humour had
    the whole Cinema laughing

Reading comments like ”SRK was the only good actor” makes it quite sad.

The movie wasn’t the best, I can give you that, but these rating are
incredibly biased and unnecessary. If this was a Salman Khan movie we
would have seen more higher ratings, I can guarantee it. The Movie had
a really interesting story and the action scenes were satisfying to
    watch.

Varun has to be praised for his performance. He was hilarious and
really showed emotion in his scenes. Kriti was great too. I just hope
that people are actually grateful for a movie like this because actors
like SRK and Kajol won’t be around forever.

Dilwale for those with heart not for all the internet trolls who have been giving rubbish

Folks as promised i saw Dilwale and i must say i was pleasantly
surprised i expected it to be pure escapist cinema with set pieces and
stunts good music and some funny scenes like Rohit Shetty previous
movies Bol Bachhan,Sunday but it was much more it was a movie with
heart with the core story being brotherhood which i really loved
.Started with an introduction to SRK with the Varun Dhawan song so 15
min was just buildup i felt maybe its slow but then the action started
and it never let up ,Kajol and Shahrukh Khan just lit the screen up and
wanted us more of them with a very nice twist during interval ,Post
interval the energy didn’t let up at all with some amazing funny scenes
special mention of Mr Mishra,Johnny Walker and Boman Irani .Shahrukh is
very generous as at no point of time it was felt Varun was a second
hero Dilwale is movie from heart it will make u laugh be thrilled and
cheer for the characters . 3.5***** must watch folks wont bore at all.

    Complete family entertainment!

I loved how it had such a good mix of comedy, drama, action & an
intense romantic track. It has something for everyone, and is something
the whole family can enjoy together. To have watched it in a packed
theatre in Canada, with people laughing so hard at the comic scenes,
clapping and whistling for the songs, dramatic twists & action, and
just thoroughly having a good time throughout was incredible! Glad I
got to watch it on the big screen. The songs look beautiful, and the
action and stunts are meant for the big screen.

The whole ensemble cast is great, but the lead pair SRK & Kajol’s magic
is just outstanding. When you think they can’t do any better than their
previous films together, or that there’s nothing new left to do, you
see them in Dilwale & they just exceed your expectations again.

Kudos, Rohit Shetty! This is your best film yet.

well Dilwale is very good movie, it is potboiler of all genre comedy,
action, romance, so it is a good mixer of all these things and the
icing on cake is the screenplay and beautiful location of movie
Bulgaria Iceland and Goa, so it has everything but why it is not
performing very well in India why is performing excellently in overseas
so the reason is that movie is good but some people here in India take
it personally and they just want to boycott Srk’s Dilwale and some
people are so jealous that no matter what they just want to boycott
Dilwale and also spreading negativity even in the review of movie, they

Injurious to health, brain, psyche, and of course your love for movies

If critics have rated Dilwale 2.5 stars, i would rate Tamasha 250
stars. Total non sense and cheap movie bringing disgrace to seemingly
evolving Bollywood. Even school plays are better. Except the songs,
nothing is there to see in the movie. For SRK, Kajol and Rohit Shetty
it would be counted as one of their worst movies ever. It’s Sanjay
Mishra who emerges out as the only actor who delivers yet another
stunning comic performance as a guy having penchant for rhyming his
sentences with brand names. Second it’s Kajol performance, though far
away from Mishra’s performance, that brings out intensity on the
screen. Very poor script, even worse screenplay, uneven editing and
pathetic performances by rest of the cast. Comparing it with legendary
DDLJ would be an insult to the latter. Going to watch it can kill your
belief in Bollywood itself. Its horrible. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED. But
if you still believe paid reviews, go and take the risk! RATING 0/5

P.S. – I have been an avid SRK fan but this one took test of my
    follower-ship

The movie is just about SRK and Kajol.

If you have left brains out there at home or you are dying heart fan of
SRK and Kajol, you will definitely like the movie. Indeed, it was a
time-pass movie and I don’t expect more of Rohit Shetty’s movies.

If you talk of the flaws, the movie was full of flaws. Just don’t try
to find any logic out of it. Boman Irani is a good actor but did not
well fit into the role of a Don.

    Story – 4/10, Comedy – 5/10, Action – 6/10, Songs – 8/10

If you are hoping to see the SRK-Kajol couple as DDLJ, Kuch Kuch Hota
Hai or K3G, you will be disappointed. The days are gone. This movie is
    Golmaal kind of movie.

    Worst movie of Rohit Shetty

Looks like Rohit shetty didn’t have any story. A movie without
    plot/comedy/action.

This movie has no surprise. Same predictable story. Kajol was good but
have very limited role. Comedy punches are missing.

You can’t sell everything with the name of SRK an kajol. It should have
    content.

In few scenes it was like copied from old rohit shetty’s movies.

I would consider this as worst movie of Rohit shetty.

not even the regular action scenes.

It’s not entertainer for sure. After 30 minutes you will realize that
it’s same predicated movies with nothing new.

    Very disappointing.

    Odious plot

It was one of the awful films (Bollywood) I have ever seen in my life.
The plot was too shaky and with a lot of sub plots which shouldn’t be
in the movie. There were two good twists where they reveal Kajol but it
came too quick in the film and it was hard for me to digest it. Second,
when Kajol confess for her love cam way too soon.

In terms of production value, the film has some great locations, sets
and definitely some stunning color designs and palettes’

Cinematography was very well done, Directing was 50-50 wasn’t that
great but ACTING was horrible! And that where the directing comes in,
Rohit should know by now that not all the plots should have cars. Rohm
has made some bad choices in terms of directing. There was this very
intense emotional scene towards the end of the third act, the was it
was directed, I ended up laughing my ass off, not me but the entire
    theater laughed at that scene.

Bollywood, please stop hiring those writers who do not know anything
    about the plots!

A decent, one-time watch family movie

It’s totally a one time watch. A typical family drama. The story is
quite predictable. And as it’s a Rohit Shetty film – it contains his
usual silliness like needless cars and unrealistic action. He never
fails to disappoint. Shahrukh’s and Kajol’s acting was awesome as
always and they looked good together. Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan
paired great. The music is nothing special. And the movie contains too
many songs which helped only to increase it’s run- time, nothing more.
The movie comes nowhere near DDLJ I don’t know why these people
promoted it so. It’s high time for SRK to start giving importance to
the stories instead of his friendships.

After watching trailer,I wasn’t expecting something from this movie but
I still thought to give it a chance. Believe me,this is the worst
Bollywood film of this year. The theme music of this film is copied
from Hollywood flick ”Thor.” Some scenes are copied from movies like
‘Dark Knight’ , ‘MI:2’ etc.. Most disappointing thing, this movie has
poor plot, ridiculous cast, overreacting scenes and overrated
”everything.” As this is an comedy- action,it is composed of third
class comedy scenes which are enough to torture you. ”Dilwale” offers
nothing fresh with highly predictable story, its just a cheap flick
combined with cheap thrills. Even the songs of this film are
uninspiring(most overrated songs). Arijit Singh’s style of singing
every song in same pattern made soundtrack worse. He already ruined
Emran Hashmi and this time he did the same thing with SRK. Its my
sincere request to everyone that don’t waste your time and money on

    Whatta waste of time!

For the start, this is an awful movie. Not worth going to the theater.

I don’t even know why SRK is making movies with Rohit Shetty and Farah
Khan. It’s kinda sad to see a person of such stature is making
senseless movies with stupid directors for the sake of making money
instead of giving some quality movies so the people would watch and
enjoy or even learn something out of it.

And about the film. It’s just plain stupid. Everything in this movie
was just utter bullshit. There was not even one good thing to say about
this movie. That’s how bad it was. Guess Rohit Shetty and SRK believes
that people would watch anything they throw at them. Such confidence.

    SKIP THIS USELESS MOVIE.

I enjoyed watching dilwale. Its nice clean family entertainment and

about this movie , its not that bad at all . Yes there are few
loopholes which could have been avoided but so is the case with every
other movie . Performance wise everyone has done their part well and i
think it could have done with less actors as there are too many good
actors trying to do things which didn’t really add too much to the
movie. My whole family enjoyed it totally as there was something for
everyone . I don’t know what people were expecting out of a Rohit

Nothing clicks for this film, absolutely nothing. All were looking
forward to Dilwale for the Srk-Kajol romance(after so many years),
which was very poorly shown. Rohit Shetty could have flew 3-4 less cars
    and give them more screen-space.

The first 30mins is enough for you to guess the remaining story. Some

A scatterbrain; definitely the worst by Shahrukh!

Dilwale, the most hyped release this year, is supposedly a romantic
thriller with extremely predictable turns, dialogs and frames. The film
follows such a repeated and tested routine that it falters to engage
    the audience and enthrall them.

The movie is all about the entry scenes of various actors, dumb car
chase scenes (Rohit Shetty does one good thing and he fails at that
this time around), annoying performances, repetitive annoying dialogs.

The plot can’t be described because it doesn’t exist.

This is the lowest Shahrukh’s career graph could dip in terms of
    quality.

I am going with 3/10 solely because of the SRK-Kajol chemistry, which
is barely visible in some scenes. Their pair deserved a much better
    comeback than this.

Final word: Don’t go, unless you are a crazy fan.

An Objective Review from A Passionate Movie Watcher

Don’t get me wrong; I’m a die hard SRK fan. But when I do reviews, I
always want to do them very objectively. I think it is highly
disgraceful that some people have been giving this movie 1/10. If
Dilwale was a 1/10, then PRDP (probably the worst movie of the year)
must have been very far in the negative numbers. Even they know that
almost no movies deserve that low. They like to exaggerate everything
and have no integrity, so please do not consider those reviews in your
decision to watch the film. I have put together an objective review of
the film, not giving any points for the fact that I’m an SRK fan, and
not deducting large amounts of points after being disappointed.

The Bottom Line: Dilwale is entertaining for sure. It keeps viewers
engaged and gives them a fun time, but when you walk away from the
film, you do not feel as if you have watched something great. The movie
is an enjoyable 1 time watch for families, and I recommend that you go
see it…but don’t expect this movie to be of the caliber that SRK
    movies usually are.

The Good: Dilwale has wonderful acting by its cast. Khan, Kajol, and
Dhawan perform admirably in their roles, and Kriti Sanon doesn’t
disappoint either. The movie is very visually stunning, and just as all
SRK movies, you can see that no expense was spared in making it. The
movie is comedic throughout, and some of the jokes make you laugh. The
ones that don’t still leave you with a smile. The action looks great,
and the SRK- Kajol chemistry, though nowhere as good as it has been in
the past, is definitely worth watching. Varun Dhawan, as usual, keeps
you laughing, and pulls off his role very well.

The Bad: In 5 words: Rohit Shetty and the script. Rohit Shetty is by
far one of the most tasteless directors. His style of directing works
by attracting viewers from some lower income parts of India, but if
learned to actually direct a film, his films may be entertaining to
other groups of viewers as well. The movie’s direction almost makes you
a little nauseous. Parts of the movie are thrown together as if the
director believes that movie making is filming a bunch of scenes
separately and putting them in a boiling pot and expecting a great
product out of it. The script of the movie is not great either. The
ideas involved in the script had potential for one of the best movies
of the decade, but the script completely detracted from that potential.
Some dialogues were good, but many were not. I guess Rohit Shetty likes
choosing these poorly made scripts though, judging from his track
    record.

Concluding Remarks: This movie would have been nothing without the
cast. The script was not worthy of any of the actors, but their
charming performances made the movie enjoyable and definitely
watchable. When you go into this movie, you know that it has Shah Rukh
Khan, possibly the greatest actor to have ever lived. You know it has
Varun Dhawan, unarguably the best new bollywood actor. And you know it
has Kajol, also one of the best female actors in the industry. You
expect so much from the film, and the film falls very short, with 1 man
to blame: Rohit Shetty. That being said, if you go in with the
expectations that this movie is not a Shahrukh Khan movie, then you
will enjoy it. When we think of Shahrukh Khan, we think of masterpieces
like Swades, ChakDe, Veer Zaara, or Jab Tak Hai Jaan. This movie is
nowhere close to the standard of his movies, but it is still fun to
watch. Go give it a try and have some fun.

Oh God, Rohit Shetty should be ostracized for this blunder

This is the first review I am writing on IMDb. That is how much I hated
this movie. Given, out of the 400 – 500 movies that bollywood sh*ts out
of its anus, 10 – 15 are watchable; my expectations weren’t high from
this. I mean, c’mon, after chennai express what can you expect from
Rohit dumbass shetty. oh God the torture, the horror; I could feel my
brain cells hanging themselves from a ceiling fan, one by one. By the
end of the movie I felt dumber than a man cutting the tree branch on
which he is sitting. Anyway, let’s jump on to the movie. I don’t think
there are any spoilers here because, guess what, the movie is already
spoiled. There is no depth in the movie, every character is one
dimensional. No one has any complex feelings, no struggle, nothing. It
is more predictable than Nostradamus’ predictions. The movie panders to
the lowest common denominator amongst the audience. The use of bright
colors, solid shapes makes it feel like a 4 yr old kid designed the
set. The jokes are forced and the plot is so linear that the last line
of a scene is the starting of the next scene setting. Nothing is left
to the imagination, meaning, everything is just as you would expect.
Boman Irani’s talent has been wasted. He is there for…. I don’t even
know why he is there. If there is one thing I want to ask Santa to
bring me for Christmas is to make Rohit Shetty and Sajid Khan – Farah
Khan stop making movies. The world would be a much happier, nay,
smarter place without them spewing crud on the screen.

Movie is very bad, marketing was good.

They spent a lot of money on the product & on its marketing that no
body gonna buy but in India its the Stars that are important not the
story. so they gave what public wanted, pile of garbage wrapped in the
gift box.Now they are so afraid and they do know that this movie is not
receiving what they expected, now its IMDb page wont even show up in
the Google search because public will know its true rating. Rohit
Shetty you showed us how much hard work stunt crew put and yes they
definitely do but you did not.You were the captain of this ship and now
its your turn to accept your mistakes when its sinking(I doubt you ever

The movie was a pain to watch

This is one of the worst movie I have ever seen. I remember SRK
stating: ”if you like me raise your hand,if you don’t like me raise
your standard”. I don’t think SRK took his statement into consideration
before picking this ”horrible” story. I was not expected such a worst
movie/direction from Rohit Shetty. It looks like all jobless people in
Bollywood gathered together and made this pathetic movie in a hurry.
There not even a single positive point to mention about this movie.
Better make… better movies rather making movie just for making money.
This movie is not even worth of watching a downloaded/free copy. 🙁
Totally disappointed and frustrated after watching this movie.

the movie disappoints at times but SRK steps forward to rescue it every time

the movie is a typical rohit Shetty movie with loads of action and cars
flying around but what’s disappointing is that every time rohit tried
to groove out of his comfort zone..just like trying to get on the back
of SRK-KAJOL romance he fails every time miserably. the only thing that
keeps everyone still at their seats is tha way SRK handles the
situation, especially in the second half he took the burden of whole
movie on his shoulder solely.kriti and varun were good in their
respective roles although at some scene varun’s acting looked awkward
but still he survived. comic timings of johnny lever and sanjay Mishra
is great and varun sharma also has done a fine job. all and all one
must watch this movie for entertainment and fun but without keeping
    high hopes.

SRK its high time to get in some serious movies

SRK its high time to get in some serious movies rather making piece of
shits for last 3 years with rohit shetty & farah khan

SRK as such a good actor who can do any good films un likely choosing
movies like Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Dilwale.

Dilwale is overall mindless masala entertainer which we have seen in
    2015 like Singh is Bliing.

SRK is at his best. Varun Dhawan does some decent role but sometime he
overacts so much. Kajol looks good with her acting. Kriti sanon has
nothing much to do. Borman iranis king role was irritating

There is no story in the movie. There are some really funny moments in
the movie which will make u laugh out of it and there are some scenes
which are so boring and dull. The action Sequences are good but they
seemed like too much forced in the movie.Music and background music is
    beautiful.

Overall Average Family Entertainer. Masala fan u will love it. Fan of
movie with a story skip it.

SRK Seriously needs to skip Farah khan and Rohit Shetty and work in
films like Chak De India , My name is khan.

    Avoid at all cost

Once again I sat through the entire movie(Dilwale) and unexpectedly the
movie ended. I sat there hoping there will be at least one scene, one
act which I could categorize as remotely decent. The complete absence
of story, plot or degrading acting by SRK is mind blowing. After
watching this movie, I should change my review of Chennai Express as
decent (3 starts out of 10). This movie fails at so many levels that I
sincerely think SRK has done a rewind on his acting and is failing in
front of a new comer like Jr. Dhawan. A complete waste of time and if
you really want to waste your time, go watch the older versions of SRK
    movies.

    Srk And Kajol Chemistry Wasted

Disappointed with Dilwale. Rohit Shetty had the tools but still cant
use it to his advantage. Srk – Kajol chemistry is not utilised to its
limit. Dialogues are very simple (not even a single dialogue touch my
heart). Poor direction with Varun dhawan. Seriously this was not the
Varun we saw in Badalapur and Abcd2. The music contributed 50% of the
movie specially Arijit Singh songs. The music and the location are the
saving grace of this movie. Johny lever is wasted. Sanjay Mishra And
Boman Irani tries so hard to make the film not boring. they did pretty
good job though. Overall Good movie but with these starcast, storyline
and the budget, Diwale should have gone to another level. Its an
Average film. You can go with your family and watch it but dnt expect
too much with SRK – Kajol Chemistry.

    The 15 year Itch

Kajol and Sharukh together in a movie always raises expectations,
because this is one pair who we know will not disappoint their
audience, no matter how bad the script or film is. Well Rohit Shetty
ventures to prove this very thing with DILWALE, a crappy script, a
stinking screenplay , and two stars desperately trying to save the
movie from falling apart, and yes he does succeed to an extent.

The movie is ridden with all the clichés that you have been seeing
right from the ’70s and you lay back on the comfortable (not so
comfortable now) seats and ask the one question which keeping popping
in your head Why Sharukh why? Why Kajol why?

Getting into the story, it is about Raj Randhir Bakshi (Sharukh Khan)
who owns a garage in Goa and who dotes on his younger brother Veer
(Varun Dhawan). Veer falls in love with Ishita (Kriti Sanon) and Raj
decides to meet Ishita’s elder sister to get the wedding going. Turns
out the lady in question is Meera Dev Malik (Kajol) who says no to the
wedding as she and Raj where lovers in the past and belonged to rival
gang families and she believes that Kali (Sharukh Khan), as Raj was
called then was behind her Father’s (Kabir Bedi)’s death.

The young lovers now decide to get the elderly lovers together so that
their marriage can go ahead without any problem. Kajol is excellent as
Meera, and she excels more as the bad girl then as the love lorn
spinster. She gives a wow performance in the scene where she reveals
her true identity, would have been a lot more interesting if Rohit
Shetty had worked on the Bad girl angle.

Sharukh is well Sharukh all the way, trying to raise above a mundane
script, but gives his 100% to the role, the scene where he goes on the
5 minute date has flashes of the old Sharukh we knew and loved.

Varun Dhawan looks as if he is trying to fit into the vacant slot left
by Govinda, he is loud, and hams through the movie.

Kriti Sanon tries to act, and joins Rohit Shetty in a losing battle.

The other saving grace is Johnny Lever, with his weird South Indian
Accent, manages to get you laughing every time he appears on the
    screen.

Vinod Khanna and Kabir Bedi are just glorified extras. By the time you
realize whether Boman Irani is a comedian, or a Villain, you are on
    your way home

Cinematography by Dudley is excellent especially for the song ”Gerua”
    and the Bulgaria Episode.

Pritam’s music is OK, not a chart buster which you would expect from a
    Kajol-Sharukh starer.

Screenplay and Direction by Rohit Shetty is nothing but like a child’s
scrap book where he has collected scenes from all the movies produced
from the late 70’s till date and glued them together.

Watch it for Sharukh and Kajol-at least the pair is worth the ticket.

bad movie……..there is no match between rohit shetty and shah rukh khan

Rohit shetty leave Shah rukh khan and let him do some good movies…

Story-line is so poor that you start getting bored from the beginning.
It seems like a typical Rohit Shetty movie where he tries yo mix-up the
masala from 70s, 80s, and 90s….and we all know what happens to such
movies! Just adding romantic scenes+some songs+some fights does not
make good movie and I do not know for how many years Indian people will
be fooled by these directors I understand this is supposed to be a
comedy/drama movie, but come on. Oh well, its made by Rohit Shetty,
could not have expected anything better. The direction is horrible,
more of a Tamil/Tollywood movie than a Bollywood movie. Cars flying,
hero beating the crap out of 5-10 guys at once, I guess that turns on
    the audience.

Shah rukh khan avoid Farah Khan n Rohit Shetty…. these two are the
biggest upset of your career in last few years

Dilwale-An epitome of mediocrity, below average.

Rohit Shetty’s ”Dilwale” brings together the most eminent and charming
pair of Indian Cinema, SRK and Kajol. It also brings all the clichés of
eighties or nineties and Varun Dhavan too.

Let’s find out the story- SRK and Kajol are lovers living in Bulgaria,
their fathers are dons and adversaries, due to dramatic events SRK and
Kajol had to part ways. Varun Dhavan (SRK’s brother) and Kriti (Kajol’
s sister) fall in love only to find out that their siblings had a
    connection in the past.

The screenplay is filled with utter mediocrity, jokes from Shetty’s
Whats App never work, situations are forced to bring a comic relief
every now and then but it doesn’t make any sense.

Varun Dhawan hams and his screen presence is highly irritating. Vinod
Khanna, Kabir Bedi and Sanjay Mishra have been completely wasted though
Sanjay Mishra brings a smile with his peculiar dialogue delivery and
uttering several brand names. Johnny Lever does his usual stuff, the
slapstick comedy is forced. Kriti Sanon is just an eye candy and
    occasionally comes on the screen.

The SRK-Kajol factor works slightly but it never rekindles the romance
we have already seen. We see many signature notions of their previous
movies to validate that we are watching SRK and Kajol.

Then we see typical scenes of flying cars defying every rule of
gravity, some timidly choreographed action scenes and a song shot in
    the Iceland.

I think it is high time and people should not appreciate such kind of
    cinema.

Dilwale is a sheer wastage of time and money.

Love the way of legendary actor SRK n Kajol act!!!!

we cannot object how good quality of Hindi film, whether their miming
way while singing part. but for Shah Rukh Khan is he greatest actor, he
very feeling every part while acting and Kajol such goddess Indian
actress.. combination two of the will give attraction towards people
who love to watch Hindi film. I almost cry in cinema, the movie show
the true love which mean family love is higher than personal love. How
Raj/Kaali love his brother, it show me how beautiful is love, and also
shown that the man is always be patient towards the girl he love!!
nice.. T.T.. another part is their song, Title: Janam Janam. oh god
such nice melody and suitable to the film. yeah!! it will give high
impact of sadness, romance and happiness in film. Great job Dilwale
team. Love from Malaysia.. last few days every hall in GSC always full
with audience to watch Dilwale!!!! Hindi film the best!!!

Shah Rukh Khan reportedly knew the trick.

The advance booking of Dilwale started from Monday of the releasing
week, far ahead of Bajirao Mastani. However, the first Monday (after
its Friday release) collections are always the litmus test for any
film’s acceptability, and this is where it looks like Bajirao Mastani
    has an edge over Dilwale.

According to trade magazine Box office India (image attached below), on
Monday Bajirao Mastani had the net collection of Rs 10.25 crore,
whereas Dilwale ended up raking in Rs 10.09 crore.

    A very good movie

I’m not sure why everyone is saying negative things about the movie. I
found it extremely funny and intriguing the storyline was amazing and
if anyone is saying that it was all ”predictable” then they are kidding
themselves because they wouldn’t had guessed most of the things that
happened. Sharukh Khan did an amazing job and upheld his reputation
with this amazing film. As well as this I also thought Varun did an
amazing job too. Overall I think the movie is amazing and if there are
negative reviews then it may just be because it wasn’t their cup of
tea, but I certainly enjoyed it. There was an awesome storyline,
    awesome twists and awesome actors.

Nice but not great, but for many people BAD

I think that this movie was pretty good, except not very good for
adults. I mean as a kid I liked it, but my parents; not so much. There
were a few scenes when Shahrukh Khan over acted. I think that this
movie could have been a lot lot lot better if they put more action and
a better story. This movie isn’t worth any more than 7$ per person. If
more, then it’s not worth watching. As I mentioned, parents (adults not
seniors) wouldn’t like this movie (because my parents and the parents
that came with us HATED this movie). Seniors would want a refund and
extra money for wasting their time :). Remember people, if you are
going to watch this movie, please watch it with less expectations.

    why the hatred against Dilwale??

A lot has been said about the movie Dilwale which released this
weekend. The critics in India have been unbelievably negative towards
the film so much that I was feeling very happy and satisfied that I
watched the movie before all this negativity fell into my ears. Over
the ears I have noticed that SRK produces polarising emotions. He has a
tremendous amount of haters who just speak crap about almost everything
related to him be it his movies, his statements or even his personal
life. Some people even say he is arrogant!!! which makes me laugh out
loud. These people never explain their reasons for thinking that because
i guess they don’t have any. These are mostly those ignorant fools who
don’t even know the whole thing or what someone has to say. They hardly
have any sense of humour. Coming back to Dilwale,it is the best Rohit
Shetty directorial yet.He has never made a more complete film.Yes there
are the fun high octane elements for which he is known for but the
important and amazing thing is that he has tried to do something new to
extend his horizons which I loved. He has added a whole new dimension to
his filmmaking. The film is beautifully shot with great songs, special
mention to Gerua and Janam Janam. The actions scenes which are
considered to be Rohit’s forte have been a real surprise. The film has
some really great action sequences and car chases which can give most
Hollywood films a run for their money. The film rides on the
performances of its lead pair.SRK-Kajol have done what they do best, set
the screen on fire with their sparkling and amazing performances.Varun
Dhawan and Kriti Sanon play their parts well.Kajol and Kriti Sanon look
breathtakingly beautiful in the movie. The story is intense and
passionate and about love and forgiveness. Its a well made family
entertainer which can be watched with your friends, family or like me
ALONE.!! One final word about all those so called THINKING people
saying crap without even watching and throwing words like brainless
film around..i think they are the ones who are brainless as I am sure
they have watched many films which can be called brainless.Dilwale is
far from brainless. So go and have fun.Tukur Tukur dekh taka tak!!!

Dilwale : Action, Comedy, Drama, Romance- All in the right place!

    Movie: Dilwale (UA)

    Rating : 4/5

Shah Rukh Khan is an actor without whose films the year seems
incomplete. Usually we see his films on festivals like Diwali, but this
time he comes on Christmas with his action packed romantic film
DILWALE, that once again proves that the combo of Rohit Shetty and Shah
Rukh Khan is back to rule our hearts as well as the box office, as they
did previous time with CHENNAI EXPRESS (2013).

Shah Rukh Khan dominates the film with his charming presence and
powerful performance. Varun Dhawan too does a good role with justice.
Kajol, who pairs with Shah Rukh once again after 5 years has a good
role and she does well. The role of Kriti is similar to the one in
HEROPANTI. Johny Lever entertains with his comedy. Varun Sharma also,
as his coming of the age comedy connects with everyone. Other actors
too do their respective parts well.

The music is a major plus point, with the GERUA song being everyone’s
favourite, including me. The songs are filmed very well and the big
scale of production is visible in each and every frame. Editing is
razor sharp. There’s no moment of boredom. The film is fit for family
viewing despite a UA certificate since there’s nothing vulgar in this
    film.

The action scenes of the film are mind blowing. VFX is brilliant. The
Rohit Shetty trademark is once again visible in this film. The story
and screenplay both are entertaining. But the biggest thing is that
there is a proper dose of Masala. Neither do the emotions get
overboard, nor does the comedy. One can easily say that this is a
complete family entertainer that has everything in its favour.

On the whole, DILWALE is a colourful and beautiful entertainer that not
just wins your hearts, but also proves that the year 2015 will not end
easily, but with a firecracker that will keep exploding and sparkling
for long. DILWALE is that firecracker. What else should I say, just go,
    watch it and enjoy!

So much potential but no momentum

Beginning was interesting and a little funny. Then came the flash backs
which where good. 2nd half of the film falls flat on its face. Nothing
but dragging out the film with no story except stupid painful comedy. I
was literally at the theater waiting in pain for this film to end. The
film had so much potential but weak story line and stupid comedy are
its downfall. The song ”Gerua” looked extremely fake because of its
horrible color corrections and changing the backgrounds. We know it was
shot in a real place but after post production, they ruined the music
video. If you’re gonna make an masala film that includes comedy,
romance, action and drama; then please have all of it. And especially
if there is action and drama together, then please have an ANTAGONIST
    in the film.

    Completely Unexpected from SRK

Not as per expected. I left cinema hall in Interval only. Both Kajol
and SRK are disappointing in the movie. I don’t know what happened to
SRK, again and again disappointing. The only Good thing is that it is a
little better than Happy New Year. The situation was like real world
hell while watching this movie. Like me if your Boy friend is forcing
you to watch, suggest him to donate to poor and needy rather than
wasting time in watching this movie. The story is completely senseless
and like many other movies due to love of heroine the hero take the
step to change himself from bad guy to good man and revolve around this
thing only. Finally there is nothing new here.

    Mediocrity is never fail.

What we can say about this anticipated movie? Not to set it on high
hopes is a good thing to do. One credit given for each SRK and Kajol,
they were amazing in half way, but their chemistry isn’t spark as
before, but it is still nice to see them again. (It’s a treat for the
    fans though)

Varun Dhawan along with Johnny Lever and Varun Sharma is a best choice
to live it up, and so duo Boman Irani and Sanjay Mishra for another
side of comedy is should be credited to 2 points. Not so good story yet
still make viewers laugh so hardly in theaters, so Rohit Shetty is not
fail to make this one. Do not over thinking about others’ speculation
about this is a bad movie, should be skipped or what. I admitted that
the story is so easy to be cracked, and the way they solve the problem
is not that unique, since its for family movie, it is just legit.

There’s nothing wrong with the direction, but I think the story itself
should be rearrange in a good method of a gangster and the afterlife of
a gangster. I think the production team is a bit confuse to choose
whether to make a solid romance or action. It is no YRF or Karan
Johar’s legacy of work, so it is fair to put romance in that way.

Again, this Dilwale is for Dilwale type. Whose have big heart for their
idols and craving for them to romance one more. What happen in Bulgaria
deserve one sole point of rating, so I gave 5 of 10.

It might be a bad movie for some people, but it always left smile to
    use whenever we finished it.

some glamor as he is already old and can not create any glamor. BTW he
was never a glamor except couple of movie. Kajol is now really really

Utterly STUPID, CHEAP and ANNOYING movie

Another stupid movie for Indian consumers.Because of fan following this
movie may earn well. But this movie will be worst movie of the year like
last year happy new year What’s Bad: Bringing back the most-loved Jodi
of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol together, the film does not accomplish in
capturing their epic romance. The comic capers start to fall apart soon
    thanks to their repetitive flavor.

Just adding romantic scenes+some songs+some fights does not make good
movie and I do not know for how many years Indian people will be fooled
    by these producers.

I will rate 1/10 for this movie

I left the Movie in 20 minutes

This is the first time I left a Rohit Shetty movie in 15mins. So
ideally I shouldn’t review this movie. But still wanted to share my
thoughts for people who are eager to watch this one.

I had some hesitation after watching the trailers. I am a Rohit Shetty
Movie fan and especially the Golmal series. But this one is terrible.

From the very start it’s just Noise. No Logic not Story.

Just goes to show the audience is taken for Granted and by just having
some big Stars mean the film will work.

Even Johny Lever and other Rohit Shetty movie regulars couldn’t save
    from the boredom.

  • Moiz RashidDecember 25, 2015Reply

    What was that?

I am very angry with myself. I allowed this garbage to flow for 2.5
    hours without walking out.

I hate this movie so much. The makers have taken, we, the audience for
a ride assuming we have low IQs who will laugh at stupid jokes, raise
our eyebrows with awe to the picturesque song locations

What is happening to you SRK and Kajol. Didn’t you read the script? The
story is all over, no plot, no character development. SRK looks grumpy
from start to end. He was supposed to carry weight of the whole movie
and let other develop around him. Were you forced to sign this movie?
It is a very loose adaption of The Best of Me. Even Johnny Lever was
annoying. His character was a nuisance as so was the garage owner. I
can’t believe a star cast can go horribly wrong. Boman Irani too was
    wasted.

I had average expectations of this movie but I was so wrong. The worst
movie by far this year and perhaps SRK-Kajol. I would rather have
watched King Uncle. Please do not insult us by making such dumb flicks.

    Painful to sit through

I have a very hard time bashing a film that is bright, colourful and
has a general ”feel good” vibe to it. This one however more then earns
    the bashing.

The movie throws everything the least bit American sounding at you, and
I do mean that in the literal sense, there is a character that does
nothing but throw American brand names into his dialogue.

The plot is an overly simple love story with the girls looking like
they cat walked out of a vogue magazine (hair blowing in the wind
included) and the guys looking hot as water suddenly splashes at them
out of nowhere! oh and add some 2015 trend in there with extra cheesy
one liners and you have this movie!

If you watch it seriously the movie’s logic will break your brain, it
does however qualify for the ”so bad it’s good” kind of viewing, just
pop the DVD in and prepare to laugh at it with a bunch of friend.

A bad movie that’s trying so hard to ”get with the times” that you
can’t help but laugh at it, you won’t even remember watching this the
    next day….

    Great Masala film!

If you are a true fan of a particular actor/person, never let go of
their side even if others or social media say so. Example: The movie,
Dilwale. What I read from reviews and memes including the spoof video,
I was not planning to see the movie but I thought whenever I wanted to
feel good about Indian movies, SRK is always there in my top list. So I
decided to watch and these are my opinions about the film: Rohit
shetty, u did much better direction than Chennai Express and Golmaal
series. In fact, watching this movie, I have faith in your concept just
like that of Farhan Akthar and Rajkumar Hirani . SRK ,thank you so much
for looking good, great stunts, apt expressions and acting is so good,
for teaming up with Kajol(yes, she can be a great villain-Gupt and be
an amazing heroine- Kkhh and,go back and forth the personalities in one
movie) and under Rohit Shetty and Gauri Khan’s production, she doesn’t
have to be vulgar, can still drive sports cars and can fight fiercely.
I knew Srk won’t let his fans down and he never has done worst to
anyone in his family, personal or in his professional life. And he
continues to give more than what he can. David Dhawan, you acted clean
with looks, comedy and worth being SRK’s bro. Kriti, even though Kajol
pushed you back in many scenes, thank you for being you and acting
normal. Johnny lever as Manibhai, Kabir Bedi as Kajol’s dad/don malik
,Boman Irani as king and Vinod Khanna as SRK’s dad/randhir (yes, the
casting crew did add some 80-90’s glamour )acted so decently that I
actually watched the film till the ending credits read Rohit Shetty and
team. Thank you so much, Red Chillies, for bringing to us, a great
entertainer. I’m sure many would hate this film just because they can’t
digest the efforts but the real moviegoers can’t deny the fact how much
effort is put into this movie and what a great watchable+feel good+
money minting movie is this! So thankful for this great experience!

Dilwale Review – Movie to watch with family

Well to start with, I personally like the movie the way it was
visualized and shown . With the return of Kajol and patch up of Rohit
shetty with Shah Rukh Khan, Dilwale is the great movie to watch. Since
a Rohit Shetty film, you find world most beautiful car to fly in Rohit
shetty style. Dilwale is kind of movie where you can expect just
entertainment without considering the logic since all movies are not
meant for having a decent story. Gerua is most beautiful element of the
movie. Kriti sanon and Varun dhavan have done excellent job as per the
roles they played. You definitely like the movie if you are SRK fan and
also if like to watch the movie for entertainment. Boman and Jhonny
have given their best to entertain in periodic interval. Kriti looks
beautiful as well as pretty in the movie. Varun dhavan tried to
entertain but he need to work hard more have such skills of
entertaining. Kajol and SRK looks old but still Duo have created the
magic once again. Movie will be like by limited audience due to the
fact that it is not purely full entertainment. but mixture of SRK-
kajol magic, Kriti’s pretty looks and action scenes of SRK Fights while
flying beautiful cars in Rohit style will make you satisfied at the
    end.

Over Colored Rohit Shetty movie. Nothing good except the magic of SRK and Kajol

Dilwale – what I understood, what I got as takeaway facts or what I
wanted to share about the movie: (press see more to read all points)
Watched Dilwale with my dearies Gajin Shrestha Bunz Grg Zyola Dlama 1.
Story is definitely minimum 30 years old. 2. Though the story was
pretty old the romance seems to have become younger. What a chemistry
or whatever they say between the leads (SRK and Kajol) they were as
fresh as a daisy. No wonder they are called the best on screen pair of
Bollywood sorry I could say they are the best pair of all woods. 3.
Kajol is not dusky anymore is that bothering me? No this 41 years old
lass was in her great shapes and looked better than the 25 years old
Kirti Sanon. She owes a great deal to the makeup artist, camera man or
the post production team whoever is the reason for this. 4. SRK man how
come he has the attraction in him still I wonder. 5. Rohit Shetty one
obligation to you please reduce the over color effect on screen and
depend on the natural colors. I am afraid I will have color blindness
because of you. 6. Poor Varun and Kirti they were there as prey to show
us that even with these younger bloods on screen still SRK and Kajol
rocked. 7. Gerua is one mesmerizing song that deserve repetition in our
phones Overall chop all crap scenes and watch the scenes of the
romantic fantasy scenes between SRK and Kajol they still have the magic
    in them.

    Dilwale is a must watch

Dilwale is a brilliant film. I loved it. I watched it twice and can’t
get enough of it. I don’t understand why people are giving it such bad
reviews. Come on how bad can a film be??? These people are just Srk
haters. Nothing more nothing less. I bet they secretly liked the film
but it’s just their ways of degrading the film. OK maybe storyline
could have been better but it was worth just watching Srk and Kajol
together. They still created the magic and the bond the 2 brothers
share bring a warmth to the heart. People are always criticizing Srk
films. Why ??? Yet they give some much importance to Salman’s films!!!
Kick and Bhajrangi Bhaijan were boring and annoying. Kick had no
storyline at all yet people think Salman is great. I don’t understand
that. Dilwale is 10x better than these films. Dilwale has everything,
romance, comedy, action and it’s a family entertainment film.

Awful piece of crap *** INJURIOUS TO HEALTH ***

This should not even be considered as a movie, as this would amount to
insulting the great art itself. Made a grave mistake by going to this
crap on the first day itself without waiting for any reviews. No scene
in this made sense and frustrated the viewer with really gross story
    and dialogues.

Really sad to see good actor’s deciding to work in such goof ups just
for the sake of money, if not for any thing else.

I hereby warn fellow movie goers to keep away from this crap as you may
never forgive yourselves for this. Giving one out of ten, since there
is no lesser score available !!

I would hope such ”movie”s be banned, or at least the viewers deserve a

Dilwale is a must watch IF your life depending on it

I started to watch Salman’s PRDP,and halfway through I was done with
it, I didn’t bother to watch it all the way, after three weeks along
came Dilwale, I started to watch this movie and by the half time I was
done with it too!! but surprisingly both movies are block busters, I
was surprised to see that how come these full of crap movies making so
    much money??.

Then I saw this news online ”Kim Kardashian nearly broke Apple’s app
store on Monday, as downloads of her new KIMOJI app crashed the
    service.

The new app features Kardashian-inspired emojis. That includes a
recreation of her infamous crying face, a selfie pose, a peach meant to
represent her derriere, and much more. The reality star has been
promoting it seemingly non-stop since the release on Monday, and so
many consumers have attempted to buy it at the same time that Apple’s
servers became overloaded.” LOL People like these are the reason for
    this crap to fly.

Leave your brains at home and you will love it. (No sarcasm, I loved it)

The movie isn’t what the trailers make you expect. It’s not your fault
if you hate it because you spent your money to watch some serious
comeback which made sense, well Diwale doesn’t. It just pleases your
heart. The romance and comedy lightens your heart and hardcore critics
would probably laugh at the attempt but I watched it the way I watched
Fast7. It has a lot in common with Fast and Furious series. Now I can’t
tell you how to watch your movies but I will tell you what to expect if
you are willing to pay for this one. Honestly, I was glad I watched it
in the theatre because it would lose its charm on TV. Kajol looks
smashing and I guess I spent most of my time in anticipation of more
Kajol screen time. Varun Dhawan is an idiot in the movie so don’t look
for any substance there. He is the comic relief who might get on your
nerves if you let him, so don’t. Shahrukh did what he does best and
people were none wiser for not expecting much. But Kajol, she was the
start for me, along with Johnny Lever. The movies thrives on the
elements of nostalgia and its perfect idyllic representation of
relationships with all its complications. It’s a ridiculous movie with
great characters, cut them some slack and you will love it. If you are
deep into realism, skip this one. But if you like looking past what’s
on screen and love watching your childhood stars on screen, don’t miss
this one. I would probably watch it again, only to watch Srk and Kajol
romancing with all the intensity. That is one thing I didn’t find
    ridiculous. It felt very real.

    Hope this helped.

    Don’t watch it

I never believed i would give a 1 star for a movie with SRK and Kajol
in it. This movie is so bad. I mean not even Srk or Kajol can’t even
save it. I didn’t even watch it all, i could not resist to watch all
the movie, at the minute 46 i said ,, OK, done i can’t watch this
bullshit anymore.” Don’t watch, you will waste 2 hours and a half of
your lifes for nothing. I liked Chennai Express was a decent movie at
least. When Kajol said in an interview that she will get a taught role
what can prove that she can do more i believed her, but after i saw
this movie i think she just said for nothing. I love her and Srk but,
there is nothing new in this movie. She done same role over and over
again. Even fans of SRK-Kajol couple got sick of same thing over and
over. Really people try to do something new. This things do not work
anymore. I hope Bajirao Mastani is better than this, in fact i believe
that Bajirao Mastani it will be 10 times better that this stupid movie.
Sorry fans of SRK-KAJOL but this movie do not deserve even 1 star. If i
could gave -11 i would definitely give it.

A Disappointment, Shahrukh-Kajol’s chemistry did not work!

From the reviews I thought I should go see Bajirao Mastani instead, but
everyone in my family wanted to watch Dilwale so I thought well let’s
watch it and I still wasn’t amused and let me put it this way it’s
Shahrukh-Kajol’s adaptation of Romeo & Juliet directed by Rohit Shetty.
And since Shahrukh-Kajol have made films such as Baazigar, Dilwale
Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, My Name Is Khan, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi
Kabhi Gham & Karan Arjun which were blockbuster’s I never knew that
another film by them would be great and yeah another film couldn’t
despite some flaws it had great action and great comedy lines such as
Kaali-Meera turned into Ramlal-Pogo and Sanjay Mishra did a great job
as Oscar Bhai, Boman Irani did an okay role not that good, not that bad
and Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and Johnny Lever
did a great job in their roles to this film is a romantic-action-comedy
probably one of the first to start that genre but all together this is
a letdown of a film that is not as bad as said and not a disgrace to
Indian Cinema, it might be normal Rohit Shetty magic but come on guys
its SRK and Kajol will they ever disappoint you. Overall Dilwale is
your typical movie their is nothing new about it but it is not to be
    said as bearable.-awesomeiyan 5.5/10 39% or C+

    Wake up call for SRK

Watchable and entertaining in parts and that too only because of SRK,
Kajol, Sanjay Mishra and Mukesh Tiwari up to some extent. For the
remaining cast Dilwale has nothing good to offer other than their fee.
Viewers today are smart enough to discard such potboilers. Rohit Shetty
and team Needs to rethink. SRK has always considered the entertainment
quotient above everything. He failed miserably to stand with that in
happy new year. No doubt, this movie is better than his last one but
still audience do not get what they had been waiting for. Mixing
romance, action, comedy and all in one movie requires a lot of rough
and hard work. The script could have worked pretty nicely if there were
no silly dialogues and unnecessary scenes.

    Brave New World

Taran Adarsh shoots an email to Rohit Shetty just before the release of
    Dilwale:

    Dear Rohit,

hope you are keeping well. We are all excited about the release of
Dilwale. I am like THERE on the 18th. I was writing a preview before
the film’s release. It would be wonderful if you could share some
insights or hand me some clues about what is in store for us. I am sure
it would be better than Singham 2 which was a complete mass entertainer
with power-packed drama, hi-intensity dialogue and towering
performances as its aces (from my review).

    With love,

    Taran.

    Shetty’s reply:

    Dear Taran,

Have you read Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World? Essentially, we are in
the technological age which is characterized by a lack of interest in
intellectual pursuits. A succession of thrills is what is required.
According to Alain De Botton – the constant challenge of modern
relationships is how to prove more interesting than the other’s
smart-phone. Same is the case with cinema.

I am the foot soldier for the post-modern culture that will take India
over in the next 20 years.

    With love,

    Rohit

Ps: Kajol will be seen in a completely new avatar. Nobody will ever
call her a dusky beauty after Dilwale.

    Taran Adarsh’s reply:

I cant wait. It sounds so slick and absorbing.

    With love,

    Taran.

    Inception?? Really??

Shahrukh tries to pull off a Salman and thinks he can get away without
acting for a change. Kajol is too focused on maintaining her balance in
high heels so isn’t able to pay much attention to acting. Varun
dhawan’s overacting makes up for the lack on their parts. Johny lever
brilliantly competes with the loudness of colors in the scenes. As if
the noise wasn’t enough, a newbie tries to recreate the magic of the
very famous (overrated and ghisa-pita) scene from pyar Ka punchnama.
Boman Irani is overpowered (finally!) by all that commotion and is
forced to act within normal limits but still fails to control his
facial expressions. Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Mishra are the only good
things about the movie. Rohit shetty relied heavily on colors and the
SRK-Kajol chemistry but both ditched him. If he didn’t forget to hire a
dialogue writer, the movie would’ve done sliiiightly better, probably.

I think when Varun Dhawan compared it to inception, what he actually
meant was – Dilwale is so boring that you fall asleep during the movie
and start having dreams which are nightmares about this movie and to
escape that you start dreaming again in your dreams and the chase
    continues…

Too many Comedy for Romance Movie

This movie is so romantic at all, I like the romance scenes between Raj

comedy in that movie, that’s why, sometimes the best part of this movie
just feel ‘untouchy’, doesn’t seems every single Bollywood movie I’ve
ever watched. And the plot of the songs, sometimes like cutting the

Funny, Twisted, Romantic, A Little Exaggerated in Action. Overall, Enjoyable and Touching.

Dilwale is a hit in my country and gone viral on the social media. Most
of the my friends and family members watched the film twice. The movie
is funny, some of the jokes really got the most of audience in the
cinema laugh. Twisted and of course romantic.

The soundtracks of the film are great especially Janam Janam and Gerua.
I personally love them even though some of the scenes during the
singing and fighting may be a little exaggerated but most of the scenes
really touching and beautiful to watch.

For SRK-Kajol’s fans, this film is a must watch. You can see how good
is their chemistry in acting, that’s why they are who they are now.

Overall, I’m giving the vote based on my personal experience. Honestly,

First of all, i don’t know why there are so many people that dislike
this movie. But for me who are not a bollywood fans, i think this movie
is quite good. I really impressed with the storyline and
cinematography. It is not a typical Indian movie like most of us
expected. A fresh storyline plus a very very very beautiful scene and
acting…not yet touch about music. The reason why i want to watch this
movie is because in Malaysia the ”Janam Janam” song has become viral on
social network. Everywhere you go people will talk or humming the song.
For those who are reading my comment, just go and watch while you still
can. To Mr Rohit Shetty and all the actor, actress and crew production
keep up the good work and ignore the haters. Thank you and Alvida….👍

Horrible- Tired of Bollywood making bull movies PLEASE READ

I was force to see this movie, otherwise I would have walked out after
the first line. Please Bollywood, you are better than this. Stop making
””I’m soo cool…look at me, I’m cool guy””” movies. Sharuk khan you
need to retire just like salman should. I’m a nice person, but stop
ruining the idea of making a quality movie. Every person doesn’t fight
like a ninja in the real world. I would love to see a Sharuk or salman
movie that has some humbleness to them…..a movie where they don’t
have to prove they’re so cool. Instead they act like kids and fight 20
men at once and throw them into the air. I’m disappointed and ashamed
of movies like these….I’m forced into a world where I can enjoy very
very few Indian movies. I try to connect with my country, but I can’t.
So I go on with people un like me and suffer, longing for India .

    Thank you !

    Awful, just awful

The Gerua song got me into the theatre. But much to my chagrin, it so
happens, that that was the only watchable part of this entire atrocity.
Why does Shah Rukh make movies like this?? It can’t be for the money.
It is ridiculously cheesy. A pain. A real pain. I would go as far as to
say that it is an atrocity. The treatment of the story is childish.
Scene after scene leaves one cold. This was the first movie in ages
that i felt called for a refund, and i watch pretty much any movie that
plays in the local movie hall. It is a parade of childish antics and
inane dialogues, with meaningless and dull action scenes strung
together. What an absolute waste of time.

    DILWALE is an excellent entertainer

film gains pace right from the beginning and entertains in between
climax is awesome… overall complete entertainer…when i was watching
the movie … few things really clicked on screen.. like pairing of srk
and kajol and varun and kriti… all of the actors of the movie acted
brilliantly… must say that i had least expectations but i was very
satisfied as a movie freak… after a long time it was good to see
finally srk getting into the groove with the role of kaali, kajol was
very fresh and very Young and attractive… while kriti and varun
followed their seniors brilliantly… songs are melodious .. and well
paced and placed too… overall it is another super-hit from shah rukh
    khan….

    Garbage Film

Go watch Star Wars instead and you will be glad you
    skipped it.

    Dilwale

This time around Shah Rukh shares space with Varun Dhawan who, in turn
has a romantic track with Kriti Sanon, and a bumbling best friend track
with Varun Sharma: SRK’s track with old flame Kajol, which is meant to
be the film’s mainstay, keeps coming and going. And the other bit parts
come and go, too, pretty much on a whim. It’s almost as if someone
says, now let’s bung in a comic track, and out tumble Johnny Lever as a
car thief, and Sanjay Misra as a pony- tailed receiver of stolen cars,
and Boman Irani as a pink-jacketed mobster with a love of vintage cars.
Yes, cars do play a big part here, as they do in most Shetty films. And
yes, a couple blow up most satisfactorily. But ‘Dilwale’, on the whole,
is a plot less drag : the slaphappy antics you see on screen are a
random jumble of light, camera, action, done in the broadest sense. In
this rigmarole, SRK is the only thing worth watching when he switches
on the wattage ( Kajol can shine, too, when she chooses to), but his
twin parts—a ‘car modifier’ named Raj, and a gangster called Kali (yes,
that’s right), are both familiar and bland. When old hands SRK and
Kajol look into each other’s eyes, they can still make you feel it,
except it doesn’t happen enough. Not by a long shot.

overrated movie nothing special in this to pay for

I usually like Rohit Shetty films but this one is really boring. There
is nothing special in this movie except songs to pay for. This film has
only got its status due to its huge star cast. Dilwale has earned
approx 145 crores just because of SRK and Kajol as they are reuniting
after several years. Kriti Snaon has played her role well much there
are comedy scene in the movie but not up to the mark Jhonny
lever,Sanjay Mishra and Varun Sharma played their comic roles well and
so they take all the credit for their scenes Varun Dhawan has done a
lot of over acting his comedy scene are not looking like comedy scenes
chemistry between srk and kajol is very good that will entertain the
    audiences

if u take allover dilwale is an over rated movie and not at all good
    like rohit shetty’s other movies

at 50, srk should do some character movies like akshay kumaar is doing.

STRENGTHS:- * Powerful casting delivers power packed performances…. *
Gerua song with beautiful camera-work….. * Twist and turns in first
half…. * Luxury Cars were getting crashed, rohit shetty does it
    always….

WEAKNESSES:- * Less action sequences…. * Screenplay was very much
    draggy in second half…..

FINAL VERDICT:- * Overall… it is a clean one time watch family
entertainer. Other than Shah rukh anybody would have did this, then it
is a sure shot flop. Comedy was good but was boring at few times. For
shah rukh it is less standard movie.

    Best movie of 2015

We didn’t catch Dilwale in movie theaters and were looking forward for
it to come out on iTunes. We purchased it as soon as it became
available and so glad we did. It’s a happy, light hearted movie for
adults and kids. My whole family (adults and two teens) loved this
movie very much. It has beautiful music, romantic love stories, nice
cars and a lot of funny moments. Plus it reminds us of family values
and respect to elders which never gets outdated. Overall happily spent
two and and half hours for the whole family. It is worth purchasing
because we definitely want to watch it again. I wish we could
understand Hindi for a better viewing experience and not being glued to
English subtitles. In our stressful and hectic lives it’s a pleasure to
relax a bit with a good movie like Dilwale. Shahrukh Khan is definitely
the best actor in the world. We are new to Bollywood and SRK movies and
keep enjoying them more and more.

A very boring movie by Sharukh khan

I was very eager to see the Sharuk and Kajol duo together but this
    movie was a let down.

Sharukh Khan, you watch the movie again and ask yourself. Do I belong
to this class of movie ?

Sharukh Khan, you are a Brand name in Bollywood industry. Only because
of you it has crossed miles.

You can better understand, if you have a very good script with full of
entertainment, what will be the potential of your film.

Boman Iran looks more like comedian instead of KING. Last movie in
which Boman has acted superb was 3 idiot after that only over acting.

Jhony Lever has to come differently. Again overacting by Jhony. Jhony
you have to be natural and do comedy with some punches.

Rohit Shetty has disappointed with this film after give movies like
    Singham and Chennai Express.

A movie by Rohit Shetty is to be a good script + Entertainment but this
    movie does not have anything.

A Solid Plot Bogged Down by Dumb Subplots

Dilwale is another movie directed by Rohit Shetty and stars Shahrukh
Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan. and Kriti Sanon. The story is of 2 families
with a bad history who learn to fall in love again. So far it sounds
pretty good. And the performances were all good. I only have one
problem with the acting: Kajol had to act as somewhat of a gangster for
half the movie and that just didn’t really work for me. Also the songs
were very well done. I guess you can say the action was serviceable for
this movie’s plot. (Classic Rohit Shetty car chases in which there’s a
bunch of cars toppling over in slow motion, and the hand-to-hand combat
    scenes and shootouts were OK.)

So where does this movie go wrong? It is because of all the subplots.
This movie is labeled as a comedy and I don’t really get why. This
movie does not need to be a comedy but a drama. It gets dramatic but
the comedic scenes kind of take the real drama away from the real plot.
And the comedy wasn’t even that funny. I didn’t really laugh at all
except for a few instances. The character of King (Boman Irani): why is
he in this movie??? I have no idea why. He literally does nothing and
his character had no place in this plot. I won’t spoil the ending but
it was so dumb because (you guessed it) King was involved in the
dumbest way possible. The movie would have been a lot better without
    him.

Overall, I expected a lot more from Dilwale. I really enjoyed Shetty’s
other films like Chennai Express but I’m not really sure what happened
here. By far the best aspect of Dilwale was the interaction between
Kajol and Shahrukh Khan, which was a delight to see them both on screen
together again. Dilwale could have been something special if it was
executed properly, but it unfortunately wasn’t. But the awkward comedy
and dumb subplots kind of ruined the movie. This might actually be
Rohit Shetty’s worst film to date. With the competition between Bajirao
Mastani and Dilwale, Dilwale is a huge disappointment; Bajirao is
    clearly the better film.

    From A+ to F, Dilwale gets a D+.

  • AwesomeNikkFebruary 21, 2016Reply

    All in for Kajol!

But really Kajol was ”the” X-factor for many people to watch the movie
because of her evergreen and still refreshing looks and fine acting; we
had expected a better class of acting from the rest of senior acting
cast except Johnny Lever who did match to a fine persona.

The story-line was same old boring stuff plus some cars in action and
not blasting throughout the film as it did in Rohit Shetty’s rest of
the movies. Songs were amazing and quite better handled (given the
expenditure of some songs level up to the highest Bollywood expenses).

Overall a 5.6 would do good, all up because of Kajol’s appearance and
    Lever’s humor.

    Meaningless fare from Rohit Shetty

I used to really like Shah Rukh Khan’s movies, he used to make good
enjoyable movies. Nowadays I feel he is contributing to the regression
of Bollywood cinema with movies like Dilwale, Chennai Express and Happy
New Year. He was once the king of Bollywood but now it seems his
contemporaries have now whizzed past him and doing more meaningful
fare, like Akshay Kumar with Baby and Airlift or Salman Khan with
Bharangi Bhaijaan. Anyways back to Dilwale, it is basically a rehash of
much better movies, like of instance Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, in the case
the siblings of Shah Rukh and Kajol reuniting them with typical Rohit
Shetty action thrown in for good measure, the result being an uneasy
mix of romance and action. The movie is littered with many unnecessary
scenes and plot lines which serve no purpose other than to fill the
time. Onto the performances Shah Rukh and Kajol were good but it was
Varun Dhawan who impressed in this movie. I did see him in Student of
the year but for some reason he didn’t impress me that much. He has a
promising career ahead of him in Bollywood. His co star Kirti Sanon is
as wooden as they get. Bollywood veterans Kabir Bedi and Vinod Khanna
are decent enough in small roles whilst comedy king Johnny Lever is
tolerable and Boman Irani hams it up in a villainous role. To make
matters worse the ending I thought was a bit of an anticlimax.

All in all disappointing fare given the talents involved. I suppose the
only good thing to come out of this is that I was planning to see this
movie on the big screen but was putt off after the reviews started
    coming in.

    Una pelicula excelente

For me it was an exceptional movie, best who have made both actors:
    Shah Ruk Khan and Kajol.

No doubt both are good actors have great chemistry and it shows in
their expressions that friendship has surpassed the years is reflected.

The film has everything: it is funny, it is action, has romance, has
dancing is cultural, this beautifully decorated, is fresh and is
stylized. Magnificent landscapes, cars and places. Moments of romance
and pain make hold your breath.

The libretto I also like, why? Because they are two stories that are
woven into a past that wants to forget and hard returns, which only the
power of love can conquer. For India, only love is the answer and this
is reflected again and again at the insistence of the characters to
achieve overcome the painful prejudices that separate them. With regard
to the action, is sufficient to indicate that there are situations that
are not expected, not seen get and of course mark the turning point …
and with respect to comedy, if someone does not like, is because it
ignores that as humans we live the same situations anywhere in the
world … is funny feel human in any culture and know that other people
have your same problems, concerns, peculiarities and comic moments.

Music . I can only say that I am as romantic, it was heaven. Song
lyrics, locations, costumes and the performances of the actors was
excellent. The music of this film is something that will not forget.

Like most Indian films, culture is strongly positioned and of course is
oriented to the core values that you want to emphasize: love,
loyalty, trust, humility and compassion. That is precisely what we
value in Indian films and that unlike the rest of the world. India
shows the world including pain love and hope … ..nos invited to feel,
    to believe and to dream.

Come more films like Dilwale …. !!!!

    Bad Movie

OK movie… Falls short of srkajol brilliance.. Bit disappointed

It’s totally a one time watch. A typical family drama. The story is
quite predictable. And as it’s a Rohit Shetty film – it contains his
usual silliness like needless cars and unrealistic action. He never
fails to disappoint. Shahrukh’s and Kajol’s acting was awesome as
always and they looked good together. Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan
paired great. The music is nothing special. And the movie contains too
many songs which helped only to increase it’s run- time, nothing more.
The movie comes nowhere near DDLJ I don’t know why these people
promoted it so. It’s high time for SRK to start giving importance to
the stories instead of his friendships.

Pathetic – One of the great tragedies of filmmaking gone wrong

This is a garbage movie and you can either watch it to confirm how bad
it is, or read my review first and then decide. The other mistake I
made was not reading the IMDb reviews first. Normally I do not watch
too many Hindi movies, maybe once or twice a year, and I enjoyed
‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’ last year. So that piqued my interest in Bollywood
movies a little so I gave ‘Dilwale’ a try. Compared to Hollywood,
Bollywood does not even live up to its name that they chose to rip off
of Hollywood. Hollywood is far far ahead in quality, and with Dilwale,
Indian movie making industry has hit rock bottom. I am sitting here
taking out about half an hour of my day to inform you and save your
precious time and money. There is no need for you to go and watch this
movie to confirm how bad it really is. If you have watched Hollywood
movies, you will know that they have shamelessly copied a few scenes
without giving any credit to them. SRK is looking aged and bored by his
acting career so maybe it is time for him to retire and make way for
others. SRK might have had the charm long time ago, but that charm has
gone, so have his acting skills, and a poor story with hopeless
dialogue will not help him either. I had read other negative reviews
about this movie, unfortunately after I watched the movie, and I can
concur with their negative experiences that many have had with this
movie. This is one of the great tragedies in film making, among many
other SRK movies, Dilwale would be the epitome of film making gone
    hopelessly wrong.

    Thrilling

Seriously, there is a lot of hate for this movie, I just don’t get why.
This film was thrilling, amazing, action-packed, jaw-dropping, you
could even say a masterpiece. The way how it was created with all the
mesmerising plot twists was incredible, the comedy was extremely
humorous! Usually, comedy in films (Especially Bollywood films) is
pretty terrible, however in this film I laughed a few times and found
some of the characters and scenes very humorous. I feel like the reason
why it got so much hate was how unique it was and ‘western’. Many
viewers that watched this film probably expected your usual happy and
    colourful Bollywood film.

This film didn’t have many cons at all, apart from at some parts it was
fairly easy to tell that animation was being used, however the
    animation was impressive.

Overall, I really enjoyed this film with all the action, plot-twists,
romance, comedy, it was all great. I definitely recommend this film and
I just love how unique it is.

    Worst movie of Shahrukh

This movie is really bad.Even ‘Happy New Year’ and ‘Chennai Express’
    were better than it.

This is really worst movie of Shahrukh Khan and probably worst movie of
    2015.

I don’t know why Rohit Shetty directed this movie. There was no story at
all.Overacting by Johnny lever and Varun Sharma.

There were same repetitive dialogues in this movie that we have been
listening since 1980’s movie and story is also similar to Amitabh
    Bachchan starrer ‘Hum’.

Only music was good in the whole movie.

Illogical movie illogical screenplay. There were too many plot holes in
this movie.Despite having a great star cast, movie is awful.

Rohit Shetty fails in his attempt in delivering a good romantic comedy
    family entertainer.

    Overall I give it 2/10.

    Fantastic Entertainer

Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale is a complete potboiler replete with romance,
comedy, action and drama. The USP of the film, for me personally was
seeing Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan reunite on screen almost 5 years after
    My Name is Khan.

In a nut shell, Dilwale narrates the star crossed love story of
Raj/Kaali and Meera (Shah Rukh and Kajol) and their respective siblings
Veer and Ishita (Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon) that is narrated
alternatively in present day Goa and fifteen years earlier in Bulgaria.
The crux of the story is a major misunderstanding that develops due to
enmity between two mafia families who are sworn rivals. The principal
cast was ably supported by Mukesh Tiwari as Shakti, Pankaj Tripathi as
Anwar, Vinod Khanna as Randhir Bakshi, Kabir Bedi as Dev Malik, Nawab
Shah as Raghav, and Chetna Pande as Jenny. Varun Sharma, Johnny Lever,
Sanjay Mishra and Boman Irani as Siddhu, Mani Bhai, Oscar Bhai and King
respectively provide excellent, rib-tickling comic relief.

The picturization of the songs were breath-taking. While ‘Gerua’ and
‘Janam’ mesmerized with Shah Rukh and Kajol’s endearing romance against
stunning locales, ‘Manma Emotion Jaage’ and ‘Tukur’ enthralled with
fun, fervor and celebration. In stark contrast, ‘Daayre’ was presented
as a simple, emotional, narrative track.

The outdoor locations shot mostly in Goa and Bulgaria added much needed
color, vibrance and grandeur to Dilwale. And to live up to his
reputation, Rohit Shetty ensures that Dilwale also boasts of
well-choreographed, sleek n stylish, adrenaline pumped car chase
sequences. Whether it was in a murky, gangster’s drug warehouse or in a
hip, breezy Goan restaurant, the action shots were deftly portrayed.
One aspect that stood out in Dilwale for me was the ties of a family
that was shown so beautifully. The strong and unshakable love between
brothers, sisters and the familial bond that is unwavering in its
    support and unconditional love.

Finally what can I saw about Shah Rukh and Kajol that has not been
already said. They will always be two of Hindi cinema’s brightest
talents and when they act together it is nothing short of magic. Seeing
them on screen floods me with emotion and all at once I am the 12 year
old that fell in love with ‘Kuch Hota Hai’ even before watching the
movie, the 15 year old that gaped at ‘Suraj Hua Madham’, the 24 year
old who loved Rizwan as much as Mandira in ‘My Name is Khan’ and the
one who has always revered ‘DDLJ’ throughout. Be it in the Bulgarian
flashbacks or current day Goa, both Kajol and Shah Rukh’s incredible
acting skills lend credibility to each and every moment they are on
screen. They have several charming moments on screen that made me swoon
    – Meera and Kaali’s five minute date, a rain soaked Meera finally
professing her love to Kaali, the teeny tiny smirk on Kaali’s face when
he discovers that Meera has remained unmarried even after fifteen years
and of course the final moments of the film. All in all, Dilwale was
one fantastic, entertaining, clean movie that can be enjoyed with the
    whole family!!!

They keep on serving the same seen before stuff in such smartly repackaged products, considering we the non-complaining viewers as mere foolish fans.

This is once again nothing more than ‘a mixed chaat’ offered by the
team taking references from here and there and presenting the same old
things in a new smartly packaged product entirely relying on the two
big names of SRK and KAJOL.

Opening in a typical filmy style riding high on the brotherly emotion,
the big brother influence of HUM is clearly there but with a highly
artificial or less impactful execution ruining a potential plot. As a
result you never feel anything emotional happening on the screen at all
amongst the routine cars explosions, gun-fires, gang- wars and all
forced comic sequences in the initial hour. In fact the flashback
giving you the glimpses of the magical pairing of SRK- KAJOL comes as
the only relief element in the first half along with the fresh looks of
Varun Dhawan and Kriti in particular. But at the same time it’s pretty
strange to see the overplayed song GERUA inserted at such a bad moment
when you are just about to walk out expecting an interval. Besides here
we also have another inspired sequence of ‘5 minute date’ lifted from
one of the episodes of a famous western TV Series HOW I MET YOU MOTHER.

Post intermission, the film continues with the same old routine
storyline of gang rivalry, misconceptions leading to separation and
then silly schemes being planned to unite the big couple again. But the
most painful time watching DILWALE comes in its final hour when you
repeatedly wish the film to finish off in the very next scene but the
director refuses to do so and keeps on throwing vague (comic) sequences
one after another adding to the unbearable length of more than 150
minutes. And wait, here too after almost 130-135 minutes you again have
a song ‘Daayre’ that forces you to see your watch or mobile phone in
    quick intervals.

Regarding the music, many might have liked the song ”Gerua” but it was
actually the ‘Late Gulshan Kumar strategy’ working here for the makers
wherein he believed a song could be made famous by playing it on every
possible format in a repeated mode by paying more. So honestly ‘Gerua’
and all other songs of the film were just average numbers for me
(expect the enjoyable ‘Tukur Tukur’), maybe because I am still unable
to tolerate any kind of loud SCREAMING in love songs composed without
any heart touching melody. Plus the so lame story- telling by Rohit
didn’t really allow me to feel impressed by either the cinematography,
background score or dialogues, that once again give you a strong
feeling of ‘heard before’ (read TANU WEDS MANU RETURNS).

In all, DILWALE was a big disappointment for me and the only
performance I loved watching in it was of Sanjay Mishra, saying his
witty one liners in an entertaining style. However if you still wish to
know what’s in store here in comparison to the director’s last SRK
film, then DILWALE is not even close to Rohit’s CHENNAI EXPRESS that at
least had Deepika Padukone as its biggest savior.

I loved it!!! I really loved it!!!

I sincerely loved the movie. At first with all the bad reviews, I had
to watch how bad it was. SRK & Kajol has always been my best couple to
watch. And seeing bad reviews, it broke my heart. I just had to watch
it. But watching it, it’s not bad at all. There may have been
over-acting in some areas (not with Kajol or SRK at all), but come on,
many of our favorite movies have areas you want to fast forward when
    you are re-watching it again!

For me, I loved it! I loved SRK & Kajol in it. I loved to see them in
the way the movie portrayed them! It was lovely to watch and I was left
laughing with many unforgettable dialogues and scenes!!!!!

    Film worth seeing

Dilwale (translation: The Big Hearted) is a 2015 Indian romantic action
comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty, and produced by Gauri Khan and
Rohit Shetty under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment and Rohit
Shetty Productions respectively. The film is very good in the overall
story and non woven deviation and beautiful music in a wonderful film
but did not succeed in giving a sense of the comic in terms of comedy
But the film will never tire to watch and The story will attract you
from the first The story will attract you from the first It could have
been presented better On the whole I think that the film could have
become a wonderful film, the spectrum to improve some of the dialogues
and comedy that was superficial .

    not what i expected..

When I heard Kajol and SRK were making a movie together, I was super
excited and had Dilwale at the top of my watch list. I was so happy
that it showed up in Netflix and didn’t waste any time to waiting to
watch it. But, after finishing this 2 hr and 33 min movie, I don’t
think it was all that. I didn’t care for the songs and the movie felt
like it was on a cheap budget because of all the green screens they
used. I will always love Kajol and SRK, but I felt their characters
weren’t that good. Their whole story was the cliché ”old time love at
first sight” situation that gets screwed up because of a
misunderstanding. The few action scenes were a little cool but the
action part is just last because the the ”whole love story mess” and
”family first” theme comes first. Also, those new actors, I found their
characters to be pretty stupid (probably cause they were supposed to be
the comedy part of the movie). Anyway, I rated the movie a four because
there are some good parts but overall, the movie’s just a cheesy
    romance.

One of the best movies since DDLJ

Hi I am a big Shahrukh fan and i loved the movie to bits. I literally
cried when shahrukh and kajol find each other. Amazing movie 5 stars 10
stars 100stars. After watching the movie I went for a long walk in
NewZealand and I’ve decided that shahrukh khan should be president of
NZ. Shahrukh is the best i love all his movies

Dilwale is a paisa vasool entertainer

Dilwale is out and out an entertaining and a family film. What’s good:
Acting, Direction, Excellent music, Cinematography, Humour, Dialogues,
Action, Chemistry among actors, Cinematography. What’s bad: Editing
could be better. Verdict: Dilwale is a package which will attract mass
audiences. Class audiences will also like it if they emphasize
    entertainment over content.

    Very Enjoyable Movie

I’m not certain why there are so many negative reviews on the movie
Dilwale (2015). I watch a lot of International movies, most of which
are movies from India/Bollywood, and I found Dilwale to be very
enjoyable! I hadn’t seen the movie, but was looking for one that would
touch on drama, romance and comedy, but not be too over the top or
leave me sad like ”Kal Ho Na Ho” did. Whew! That one was tough! This
movie wasn’t tragic, too romantically intense or ridiculous; it was
simply a ”sit back and relax” kind of movie.

The only thing in the movie that annoyed me was the 5 minute date. That
was a bit corny, but not intolerable.

I found this movie to be very entertaining! It had a good story, it was
fun (Johnny Lever always makes me laugh), and of course, SRK and Kajol
were best matched as a couple for this movie.

So, I would have to give this movie a definite thumbs up!
